09.01.2022 WE ARE WORRIED ABOUT OUR RAMADAN APPEAL - KHEIR INSHAALLAH It's been 8 years since we started our Ramadan Appeal. But we know that 2021 will be different. Why...? Because almost every single one of you have family in Lebanon who now need your help. What does this mean? It means that the donations you have so generously donated in the past is now needed somewhere else. We know this for certain because we also have family in Lebanon. Family who have never needed our help before - but they need it now. We have to help our family first - but here is the dilemma. There's over 500 families waiting on their yearly Ramadan aid. Every year together we give them something to hope for - a light at the end of the tunnel. A mercy that might not come this year. We have always been transparent with you - this year is no different and in the spirit of transparency we are sharing our fears with you. Our fear that these families will wait - and wait for aid that won't come. Waiting with empty shelves and empty fridges - and empty stomachs. So what can we do? They are from Jnoub Lebanon and sadly their living conditions are just terrible - they don't even have a toilet.... It would be a dream come true for them if we could raise enough money to help them fix their home so that they might have some of the most basic living essentials - especially a proper bathroom as they currently use a bucket and this is extremely unhygienic and dangerous especially for the elderly. 06.01.2022 Asalamualaikum brothers and sisters. Over the years we have joined together to help those less fortunate than us. Whether it be through food for the hungry or health care for the sick, your contributions have made a significant difference to the health and well-being of so many less fortunate than us. In many cases your contributions have helped save lives.... But this post is about helping create a life. A husband aged 34 and wife aged 30 have been trying to conceive for over 7 years. As you can imagine this has been a trying time for the couple who are desperate to start a family nshaAllah. Difficulty to conceive has become such a wide spread problem - we all know someone or may have even experienced it ourselves. We all know how devastating it can be. The husbands sperm is weak and so are the eggs of his wife, this makes natural pregnancy impossible. They have made 2 failed attempts at IVF and Dr Hassan Ajami says that there is a 95% chance that a pregnancy will occur on the next attempt. They need $1200 USD in total to continue with the 3rd attempt. NshaAllah by the will of Allah swt we might be able to help them bring a child into this world. Majooreen.
