23.01.2022 Wongutha-Yamatji man and first-time Archibald Prize entrant Meyne Wyatt has won the 2020 Packing Room Prize for his self-portrait. The West Australian born, Sydney based artist, writer and actor is the first Indigenous artist to win any of the prizes on offer in the Archibald Prize in its 99-year history. Wyatts painting was selected as one of 55 finalist works from a record number of entries received for the Archibald Prize.

21.01.2022 Gascoyne Gold, one of the primary producers in Carnarvon, recently interviewed two of our aspirants who showed interest in joining the production team, packing produce to be transported to Perth. On their interview day, they were given a quick introduction of the workplace. Both are looking forward to starting. These types of roles usually are filled by backpackers so it's great to see these local women being able to fill these jobs. #localjobs #employment

Ms Stack is a proud Noongar woman from Perth who has strong family connections to the Yuat and Ballardong people. Therefore, what I do now must count; by making my grandparents and parents proud through carrying on their legacy is essential. They have instilled in me never to ...be ashamed of who I am. My culture is my identity, and I am very proud to be a young Aboriginal woman. My Aboriginality is what makes me unique, and that alone gives me power."
