24.01.2022 Thanks to my lovely husband Carl Moon & children for holding down the fort so I could attend the Farm2plate Exchange. 4 days of expanding my knowledge, seeing, eating, talking real food, agritourism, agriculture, and stepping just a little further out of my comfort zone. Stayed tuned for updates

21.01.2022 It’s taken me a little while to absorb & reflect on the amazing week I spent in the gorgeous Tweed with the Regionality team at the Farm2Plate Exchange. It was nothing short of being amazingly mind blowing!! Pre-Tour: A tour of The Farm at Byron Bay gave us a incredible sense of community, Tweed Valley Whey Farmhouse Cheeses shared gorgeous cheeses, Cheeses Loves You shared her story & her passion, a gorgeous lunch of fresh pasta by Forno Grasso, then out to Tropical Fruit Wo...rld for a tour of the packing sheds & orchard, & tasting of lush fruit. And finished off the day with a pitch session with Kylee Ingram the Pitch Fest Guru - she’s kind of big deal Getting my pitch on point for a pitch competition Day 1: A mind blowing line up of speakers! Could’ve listened to Professor David Hughes all day Lots of talk about global & national perspectives, food innovation, consumer behaviour & trends, agriculture plans & advocacy across the supply chain. Jodi from ROEBUCK FARMinspired us all with his small acreage in NZ & incredible output. I pitched that afternoon & won so I was stoked!! Off for dinner, drinks & more talking. Gorgeous Ink Gin at Husk Distillers , tender Gin Pig, prepared by All Natural Meat Co. cooked by TAFE NSW - Kingscliff & Darren Robertson from Three Blue Ducks Day 2: Another full day of inspiration hearing from Joel Salatin Polyface Farm, sharing of regenerative farming journeys, sharing of agritourism journeys & so much more! A bus trip out to Mavis's Kitchen and Cabin's @ Mt Warning for a celebration of new friendships, new partnerships, & the coming together of the tribe It was the perfect setting in the mountains, surrounded by gorgeous rainforest, decadent garden, nourishing local food, Paxton Wines flowing, & live music Day 3: Masterclass with Joel Salatin. Well if the session the day before didn’t blow mind enough , a whole day was truly indulgent! A huge thanks to the whole Regionality team but especially Rose Wright for all of her support & guidance over the last 12months, for encouraging us to think outside the box, & for reminding us that we are producers of a beautiful product. She has also connected us with other like minded people & for that we will be eternally grateful Thank you to Ros & Damien at Rich Glen Olive Oil Yarrawonga & Grahame from Katamatite Garlic for being there to share the experience And in case you’re wondering my family survived just fine without me

06.01.2022 A massive thank you to Elmore Lockington Rochester Community Bank Branches for the amazing opportunity to share my personal journey and the what lead us to the inception of Red Brick Dairy. To speak alongside Marnie Baker: Managing Director of the Bendigo Bank, Ruth Lyons: renowned artist, and Kellie Dadds, founder of By the Left initiative, was an absolute honour. And to share, connect and network in front of and alongside 75 beautiful, vibrant, supportive women is one o...f the most empowering things I have ever done. I took the opportunity whilst back in our stomping grounds to catch up with some more beautiful women at Lockington Bamawm United FNC netball, and reminisce on the good times. Just a gentle reminder as to why I am well & truly retired. This is just what I need to bring a halt to the week.... roasted vege soup topped with a extra big slurp of Bridgeward Grove Olives and Art Farm Gate Extra Virgin Olive Oil & a glass of Farmer & The Scientist Shiraz, in front of the fire. #womenempowerment #vibrantenergy #womencelebratingwomen #togetherwecanachievemore #sharingvulnerably #steppingoutofthecomfortzone #timetonourish #timetostop #redbrickdairy
