25.01.2022 *Lets play a game* . What profession do you think Petrea works in? Or- how do you think she would make you feel working with her (regardless of profession)? . Leave a comment below and let me know. I am super keen to hear what you think!

24.01.2022 @encoreadmin came in today for the first round of our Holiday Headshots. I’m not gonna show you those ones just yet... but I did want to share this very important message from Korryn and @kasey.rainbow . KIND IS COOL. . The end.

24.01.2022 When someone says they're "colour blind" what I think is... "Well, I am glad you feel so good about yourself. So virtuous and PC. But it was NOT seeing the beauty in the difference of colour that got us into this fucked up mess to start with. . This is another great quote from the Verna Myers TED Talk I shared the other day (the link is still in my bio). It's a reminder, that by claiming you don't see colour, that you are also not seeing the inequity, your inherent privilege, and the devaluing of other people around you. It might make you feel good about yourself saying it, but it doesn't make one jot of difference to the world around you.

23.01.2022 Yesterday we played game where I asked you to guess the profession or traits of Patrea. I promised I was going to come back and let you know how it went. . Now, based on the comments we had guests that she was a therapist, creative, and healer. Well. You are mostly on the money. She is a psychologist. . But most importantly are the comments about her traits. That the feedback included:... Working with her would be empowering. I would feel safe and grounded. Knowledge, encouraging and efficient A nurturer, trusted and expert . And this my friends is why it’s so cool. Because YES! Patrea is a SAGE brand. Her approach is all about being the nurturing, but trusted expert. In fact she mentioned that one of the key messages she wanted to share through the photos was about being calm and steady. . This is the power of working with the archetype process. We create images that share more than just your face. It draws on science, psychology and a bit of ‘woo’ and guides you to create images that show the world what you are about. . If you want to talk about a brand shoot send me a DM: or if you are not Brisbane based and want to pick my brain about how you can leverage this process with a local photographer let me know! 22.01.2022 Yes there are blatantly racist arseholes in the world. But they are in the minority (it seems). The bigger problem, the linger-term dangerous problem is those of us who have bias that we don’t even know of. . Unconscious bias is dangerous. . The TED talk by @vernamyers still remains one of my all time favourite, powerful presentations about this topic. I have linked it in my bio, but I recommend everyone who can, should watch it.

22.01.2022 Can we just all do a collective gasp at how FREAKING AMAZING Lisa Wallington looked at her headshot session today? . I see strength, beauty and a whole lot of glam. What do you see in this hottie?

22.01.2022 This is Nic, she’s my cousin (in-law). She dropped in last week for some headshots as part of the launch of her own photography business @nix.realty.pix . It was such fun talking shop with someone but also feeling those contagious vibes of the excitement of a new dream coming to life.

20.01.2022 *a support network of women in business* . Today was the last catch up for the Mastermind Group that I was in this year. We did some reflecting on the year that was (the fuck?!) and where we want to go for next year. . Like many, my year did not go as planned. But what got me through (in business and in life) was the women I have around me.... . Sisterhood is powerful. The ability to lean into others. To be open and vulnerable with your doubts, and willingness to listen and learn from others is hard. But the knowledge, experience and ultimately growth that you can tap into is endlessly valuable. . And talking about amazing sisterhood - how freaking AMAZING is my new skirt from Christine from @handmadexakualarbi It’s my second from her and I am addicted to her craftsmanship (and just her as a person!). I am also wearing my fave tee from @delphiejoy which I wear SO DAMN OFTEN! .

04.01.2022 Is anyone here a LinkedIn fan? It's one of those platforms that you either love or pretend doesn't exist. I know for me it's the latter. I know it's there, I wish I was more across it, but it's just so damn hard to motivate myself to dive in. What are your views on LinkedIn? Love? Hate? What makes you avoid it? I am trying to convince myself that I should dig in.. so I need your opinions

01.01.2022 Artwork by @sar.ra__ . Always was. Always will be.
