24.01.2022 Do you value the things that make a rural place what it is, whether that is peacefulness, an absence of people, vistas of rolling hills, or the community of a small country town? If you do, there's a good chance a move to the country will enable you to live more closely in line with your values and so be a successful one.

24.01.2022 Relocating to WA? Consider Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Coolgardie, Leonora and Menzies ( The Goldfields DAMA). The Goldfields DAMA utilises the labour agreement stream of the Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482) and the Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186). Businesses enter into a labour agreement with the Australian Government, and workers are then granted a Subclass 482 or Subclass 186 visa.... The Goldfields DAMA is an employer-sponsored visa program and individual workers cannot apply for a visa independently. The key elements of Goldfields DAMA are: 01. It will provide pathways to permanent residency for Goldfields 02. DAMA visa holders (including transitional arrangements for existing visa holders). 03. It caters for a broad range of occupations that reflect skilled and semi-skilled shortages in the Goldfields. 04. It offers English language concessions for some occupations. 05. It offers salary concessions that reflect Goldfields market rates, ensuring that worker terms and conditions of employment are not eroded, and Goldfields businesses and consumers are not subjected to inflationary costs. 05. It incorporates a range of risk and integrity actions to ensure that the rights of both employees and employers are protected. It is a five year agreement. https://www.gedc.wa.gov.au/our-region/local-government

24.01.2022 South Australian Regional Workforce DAMA Update: Concessions and PR Pathways - The South Australia also reports that all DAMA occupations will now have a permanent residency pathway through SC 482 to SC 186 or SC 494 to SC 191 (when commenced). Further additional English language and age, in addition to TSMIT concessions, have been secured and these will also extend to the permanent visa for some DAMA occupations.... Changes to work experience requirements will also make it easier for qualified international graduates to be eligible to apply. Skills Assessing Authority - The South Australian Government has been approved to act as a skills assessing authority for occupations that require a skills assessment that currently has no alternative skills assessment authority. This will allow previously ineligible occupations to now be available for skilled migration, ensuring workers filling those positions are appropriately skilled. https://www.migration.sa.gov.au/occupa/dama-occupation-list
