24.01.2022 South Australian Regional Workforce DAMA Update: Concessions and PR Pathways - The South Australia also reports that all DAMA occupations will now have a permanent residency pathway through SC 482 to SC 186 or SC 494 to SC 191 (when commenced). Further additional English language and age, in addition to TSMIT concessions, have been secured and these will also extend to the permanent visa for some DAMA occupations.... Changes to work experience requirements will also make it easier for qualified international graduates to be eligible to apply. Skills Assessing Authority - The South Australian Government has been approved to act as a skills assessing authority for occupations that require a skills assessment that currently has no alternative skills assessment authority. Residents will still need to apply for a border pass to travel into Queensland.... Subclause 191.213(1) provides, that the applicant must have substantially complied with the conditions (other than condition 8579) of the regional... provisional visa held by the applicant at the time of application for the Subclass 191 visa, or any subsequent bridging visa held by the applicant. Subclause 191.213(2) requires that applicant complied with condition 8579, unless the applicant is in a class of persons specified by the Minister in an instrument under subclause 191.213(3) (see below). Condition 8579 is inserted in Schedule 8 to the Migration Regulations by Schedule 1 to these Regulations. The condition requires the visa holder to live, work and study only in a designated regional area of Australia. The effect of subclause 191.213(2) is that the applicant must have strictly complied with the condition by living, working and studying only in a designated regional area of Australia while holding the regional provisional visa.
