25.01.2022 So REVENTON are the biggest sponsor of Australian snooker... But do YOU know what they really do?? #reventon #reventonsnooker #finance #investment #retirement #planning #5yearplan #property #mortgage #minimisingtax #keepingtheballrolling #grabthebullbythehorns #chrischristofi

25.01.2022 In what's shaping up to be a tragic 7 day period in sport, this week we farewell 2 of the finest characters who supported Aussie cuesports in various capacities over the period of many, many years... Last Saturday we lost MARGOT TAYLOR, who for those who didn't know her, was the life partner of Aussie cuesports most enduring sponsor, GEORGE TAYLOR of Alcock, Thompson & Taylor. As George has forever been Aussie cue sports greatest supporter, Margot was George's... While in the... early hours of this morning Tasmania lost one of its absolute stalwarts in TERRY COLLINS. One of the nicest guys you'll ever want to meet, Terry was affectionately referred to as "Top Cat". You could bank on the fact that if there was an event taking place almost anywhere, Terry would be there. Whether as an administrator, a referee, or simply just helping out, Terry would always be there, with sleeves rolled up, ready to help... Both Margot and Terry's passing will leave a massive hole in the hearts of not only both Taylor and Collins families, but the cuesports community as a whole. REVENTON SNOOKER would like to send heart-felt condolences and best wishes to both families and friends of Margot and Terry... May they both rest in peace.... #reventonsnooker #alcocks #terrycollins

24.01.2022 REVENTON SNOOKER would like to send out a massive congratulations to Snooker champion REANNE EVANS, who just last month was given the title of MBE. A massive recognition of all her efforts and achievements, the 12 time world champion has not only been a great ambassador for snooker in general, but women's sports all round. With some eye-opening performances against her male counterparts she has also pathed the way for other female snooker players to some day play side by side... in massive events with the men... 24.01.2022 So this happened in the 19th and deciding frame of the Crucible qualifying match between China's LIANG WENBO and Ireland's FERGAL O'BRIEN. Despite the referee being right there in prime position, the foul was never called by either referee or Wenbo... Your thoughts?

23.01.2022 As little as we usually get involved in political issues, it would be remiss of us to completely ignore the burning issue around the world right now. At a time when we could all benefit from unity and solidarity, another valuable life has been uselessly lost at the hands of yet another reckless and unjustified police act in the US... As it states in the link, "it is in this spirit that we call on all those in power to act NOW, and hold President Trump and US state and local... governments accountable to..." 23.01.2022 Hey guys! Chris Christofi is about to participate in his third Vinnies CEO SleepOut and has committed to raising $80,000.00 to help those in need. Reventon will also show support by donating 75 cents for every dollar that he raises. This year Vinnie's asked for all the CEO's to participate virtually by sleeping in their backyard, in their car or on their couch. ... Chris has decided to sleep out on the streets of Melbourne for two nights at the end of June with his wife Billie. Times are tough at the moment but together we can make a difference and change the lives of many. $20 will help feed 1 person while $55 will help feed a family for a day. No donation is too small, if our whole network were able to give up one coffee a week and donate the money instead, we would be able to hit our target and help those who need it most. To make a donation please click on the link below. https://www.ceosleepout.org.au/fun/chrischristofi/melbourne If you would like to see Chris' experience sleeping out on the coldest nights of the year, please follow him on social media @ChrisChristofi There are many ways you can help - by making a donation, sharing this post with your network or by doing both. Chris appreciates everyones help in spreading the message. Thank you...

23.01.2022 With qualifying stages now completed, the championship the snooker world has been waiting for finally kicks off this Friday... With some new names in the round of 32 for the very first time, the opening round of the main event presents potential for the odd upset. Considering all the madness that has surrounded the sporting world in 2020, the fact that these championships are commencing barely 2 months after their traditional May starting date is quite the achievement. A mass...ive congratulations to all at World Snooker who were involved in getting this event up and running so soon.... Our very own @nr147 will be there trying to recapture the title after a decade since holding the Championship trophy aloft for the first time. REVENTON SNOOKER wishes Neil the very best of form over the 17 day event. The draw is as follows: Judd Trump v Tom Ford Yan Bingtao v Elliot Slessor Stephen Maguire v Martin Gould Kyren Wilson v Anthony Hamilton John Higgins v Matthew Stevens David Gilbert v Kurt Maflin Jack Lisowski v Anthony McGill Mark Allen v Jamie Clarke Mark Williams v Alan McManus Stuart Bingham v Ashley Carty Ding Junhui v Mark King Ronnie OSullivan v Thepchaiya Un-Nooh Mark Selby v Jordan Brown Shaun Murphy v Noppon Saengkham Barry Hawkins v Alexander Ursenbacher Neil Robertson v Liang Wenbo Anyone wanting to watch the championships in Australia, you can do so through Eurosport, although we invite anyone of you to share any good links you might come across on any of our social platforms. For everyone else around the globe, here is a guide to how you can watch this years big dance... https://wst.tv/how-to-watch-the-betfred-world-championship/ #worldsnooker #2020worldsnookerchampionship #snooker #betfred #welovesnooker #reventonsnooker #grabthebullbythehorns #keepingtheballrolling

22.01.2022 AND THEN HE HAD THREE! NEIL ROBERTSON has just narrowly defeated World number 1 JUDD TRUMP 10-9 in a match that unravelled with both players neck and neck the whole way to the end of the very last frame. Surprisingly considering the break building abilities of these two players, the 19 frame match saw only 4 century breaks, mainly attributed to the fierce safety and scrappy nature of the match.... Neil now becomes only the 6th player to hold aloft the UK trophy on 3 separate occasions, putting him in some very fine company. This is how the match played out...

22.01.2022 As we rapidly and enthusiastically rush away from 2020, we'd like to wish everyone the best run of the balls into the next year. We'd like to remind you all that success in 2021 will depend greatly on our ability to plan ahead and positively adapt and negotiate the unfamiliar and unexpected. Let's do all the right things, get to the other side of the mayhem and get back to filling our table, travelling across borders to events and returning back to our preferred normal.... REVENTON SNOOKER looks forward to seeing you all fit and healthy again in the very near future. Till then, look after yourselves and each other...

22.01.2022 We all know that RONNIE O'SULLIVAN is capable of absolute miracles on the snooker table, but no one would've put money on anyone clearing up from the way the balls were situated in the 7th frame of his 2012 World Championship clash against ALI CARTER. This clearance with most balls close to the cushions was accurately described as an act of GENIUS... Copy and paste the link to watch the entire break... https://youtu.be/rLk71tnNxOU... So does your club have its own snooker genius? Mention or tag them below! #Reventon #reventonsnooker #snooker #welovesnooker #genius #Ronnie #Ronnieosullivan #miracle #clearance #breaks #freak #grabthebullbythehorns #keepingtheballrolling

21.01.2022 HENDRY RETURNS The moment that snooker lovers all around the world have been waiting for since 2012 has finally arrived... 7 time World Champion STEPHEN HENDRY has been granted an invitational tour card. Interesting times ahead, watch this space...

20.01.2022 So 2020 didn't shape up to be the year we all anticipated... but that's ok as Reventon has always been about looking to the Future. Despite it being a most unforgiving year, it's safe to say that many of us learnt a valuable lesson or two along the way. REVENTON SNOOKER wishes all of you a very Merry and safe Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2021.... Continue to do all the right things in order to get our game and more importantly all of you back on track in the coming year. #Reventon #reventonsnooker #merrychristmas

18.01.2022 So while the world laments the current covid-19 situation, good friend of Reventon Snooker JEFF FARRUGIA has been working feverishly to bring us all an exciting new destination in Australian cue sports. Situated in Albert Ave in Chatswood NSW, "147Society" will not only host a variety of tables, but also be a great venue for social gathering for a delicious meal or drinks with family or friends. It's rare in the current climate for us to have a new venue opening up, so let's... do all we can to ensure their success. Get on and follow their new Facebook page for news and information about their grand opening.

17.01.2022 AND THEN THERE WERE TWO.... Here we are at the sharp end of the championships that almost never happened. KYREN WILSON V RONNIE O'SULLIVAN. The 5 time world champion and one of the all time greats, up against a Crucible final debutante hoping to get his name on the illustrious trophy for the first time.... Should Ronnie win his 6th title however, it will bring him within one of Stephen Hendry's 7 world titles and level with Steve Davis and his coach Ray Reardon. Both Wilson and O'Sullivan played out massive semi final matches, both going the distance. With Ronnie coming back from 14-16 down to edge out 3 time World champion MARK SELBY 17-16, while Wilson had an identical victory over qualifier ANTHONY MCGILL. The final starts this Saturday at 1.30pm Sheffield time and promises to be a belter! #Reventon #reventonsnooker #worldsnooker #ronnieosullivan #kyrenwilson #snooker #crucible #Sheffield #2020worldsnookerchampionships #final #welovesnooker #grabthebullbythehorns #keepingtheballrolling

16.01.2022 HERE WE GO AGAIN! Looks like we're in for another bumper ride here in Victoria with a third lockdown being confirmed earlier today... Lockdown will commence at Midnight tonight (May 27). Remember to stock up on "necessities" guys, but consider the well-being of others before overstocking.... At this stage lockdown is intended to last 7 days, to Thursday, June 3. So we urge all Victorians to be kind to each other to get everyone through to the other side. Remember, we are Victorians!! We've done lockdown for over 100 days straight, so 7 days will be a walk in the park this time around. WE ARE COVID'S TOUGHEST OPPONENT!! #reventonsnooker #Victoria #lockdown3 #kindness #weareallinthistogether #grabthebullbythehorns #keepingtheballrolling

15.01.2022 VINNIE'S CEO SLEEPOUT As many of you may be aware, as well as Australian snooker, REVENTON CEO Chris Christofi has been supporting the VINNIE'S CEO SLEEPOUT for the past few years. This year as the face of the sleepout, Chris is hoping to raise a record $100,000 and will be matching every donation received dollar for dollar.... Remember guys, the winter months are among us here in Melbourne and on top of all the covid madness, thousands of people also have to contend with not having a roof over their head. A burden no one in this country should face in this day and age. So please get behind this worthiest of causes and give what you can spare. Whether a little or a lot, every little bit helps, so even if it's a gold coin donation, it will all add up in the end. You just never know who you might help with the simplest of gestures... #Melbourne #reventonsnooker #vinniesceosleepout2021

15.01.2022 So we came across this old video recently, which at this poignant time serves to remind us that our time here is as fleeting as it is valuable. As the world is well aware that in 2006 PAUL HUNTER passed away well before his time, just before his 28th birthday, but very little is known of his opponent in this video, young LEE SPICK. A popular player amongst the professionals that knew him, Lee also passed away just shy of his 35th birthday of liver-related illness.... Watching this video, it's surreal to think that these 2 talented young boys in this video, with their careers ahead of them, are no longer with us. Enjoy this footage of the 2 teenagers, who at only 14 and 15 demonstrate a cracking standard for their tender years...

14.01.2022 ONE TO WATCH So what were you achieving when you were just 10yo? Well Ukranian pocket dynamo MATVEI LAGODZINSCHII has just achieved what most people will never achieve in their playing lifetime, a 147 maximum break.... Despite the odd disgruntled reaction which would be expected from any player to a "less than idea" shot, Matvei carries on throughout the break with remarkable ease. It looks to us that in Matvei, the Ukraine has set an amazing benchmark for the world's snooker playing juniors to aim for and has delivered to the snooker world an exciting new prospect that will undoubtedly go on to achieve amazing heights! This little guy will definitely be one to watch in the coming years... #reventonsnooker #ukrainesnooker #maximumbreak

14.01.2022 So the Crucible has its first 147 of the Championships, as well as the first since Stephen Hendry in 2012... Ironically it was provided by JOHN HIGGINS, who ultimately lost the match against KURT MAFLIN who only a couple of days earlier failed at his attempt for a 147, losing position on the 13th black on 97. Should no other player repeat the fete throughout the tournament Higgins will walk away licking his wounds with the 40,000 maximum break and 15,000 high break prizes.... Not a bad pay day for 13 whole minutes of work!

13.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE Due to the mayhem the current Covid lockdown has once again caused our game here in Victoria, it has also wreaked havoc on the local snooker and billiards calendar, causing the disruption and postponement of several major tournaments ... However we are pleased to inform everyone that dates for event 2 of this year's REVENTON HAT TRICK SNOOKER SERIES at this stage remain unaffected by the lockdown! The event will still kick off on the scheduled July 17 weeken...d. We sincerely hope that the cuesports Gods are merciful over the coming weeks to accommodate not only the rescheduling, but also the subsequent commencement of all affected events... If you haven't already got your entry in for the Hat Trick, simply visit the VBSA shop and get your entry in BEFORE JULY 11. https://www.vbsa.org.au/vbsa_shop/shop_cart.php **All women wishing to enter, click on the $20 "JUNIORS" button. https://www.vbsa.org.au/vbsa_shop/shop_cart.php #REVENTONSNOOKER #WeLoveSnooker #HATTRICK2021 #hattrickseries

13.01.2022 So let's get those gears up and moving while we all have so much time on our hands right now. Here is a teaser for you all... In 2018, the field for the REVENTON MASTERS was a very colourful bunch, with their waistcoats looking something like a Dulux colour chart. Can anyone of you out there tell us which colour goes with which player??... Here are the players in no specific order... 1. HASSAN KERDE 2. JAMES MIFSUD 3. SHAUN DALITZ 4. JOHL YOUNGER 5. ADAM BLEUMINK 6. AARON MAHONEY 7. KURT DUNHAM 8. TYSON CRINIS 9. STEVE MIFSUD 10. BEN FOSTER 11. ADRIAN RIDLEY 12. BEN JUDGE Let's see just how well you know your Aussie snooker players... Aaaaaand GO!!

13.01.2022 A surprise victory over good friend MARK WILLIAMS, RONNIE O'SULLIVAN crossed the finish line 13-10, despite having been 7-2 down early in the match. He currently leads MARK SELBY 5-3 in their semi final match, while ANTHONY MCGILL has a healthy 6-2 lead over KYREN WILSON in the other semi. So will this be the year that Ronnie pegs one back on Stephen Hendry, or will his fans be made to wait another year for title #6?... #Reventon #reventonsnooker #worldsnooker #ronnieosullivan #worldsnookerchampionship #snooker #betfred #welovesnooker #semis #grabthebullbythehorns #keepingtheballrolling

12.01.2022 Some great news for members of the Yarraville Club Reventon Snooker & Billiards Academy today... Work began in the installation of new "theatre-style" seating throughout the room, which replaces the old seating from the original Yarraville snooker room. The seating (and other works) should be finished in the coming days, before Covid-19 restrictions are lifted in Victoria. A massive thank you and debt of gratitude to DENNIS COGHLAN from the MCG who sourced the new seats. Also to JASON Ferguson of the Yarraville Billiards & Snooker committee and DAVID PITT, SIMON FORTUNE & DON RICHTER from the Kooyong Club for their efforts in dismantling and transporting the seats to the Academy...

12.01.2022 Amazing new footage has emerged of an exciting new snooker talent with the speed to make Ronnie O'Sullivan look like Peter Ebdon and can do things with the cue ball that would make Judd Trump's head spin!! :o Check it out...

12.01.2022 HERE WE GO AGAIN! This year's UK Championship sees the next chapter in the fierce rivalry between current world champion and world number 1, JUDD TRUMP and world number 3, Australia's own NEIL ROBERTSON. Both players fought off serious Chinese assaults from ZHOU YUELONG and LU NING to reach yet another final.... Unlike his namesake in a recent election, Trump goes into this final as favourite, with a long run of amazing down and having the wood over Robertson in finals. No doubt Robertson will be aware of this and will throw everything at Trump in an arena where he too has seen serious success, winning the prestigious title back in 2013 &. 2015. Regardless of result is bound to be a cracking final and the winner will undoubtedly earn the 200,000 prize. REVENTON SNOOKER wishes both players the very best of luck in the final.... Well, maybe Neil anyway! #neilrobertson #juddtrump #ukchampionship

11.01.2022 Well, the debate between the greatest of all time will probably ensure for the rest of time, but since the dominance of Hendry in the 90s no player has shown quite the same dominance. Having said that, since our very own @nr147 won his world title back in 2010 there have only been 6 other world champions, with MARK SELBY and RONNIE O'SULLIVAN being the only multiple winners. So keeping that in mind, who is YOUR favourite world champion... and why?... #reventon #reventonsnooker #worldchampion #GOAT #welovesnooker #Stephenhendry #Ronnieosullivan #NeilRobertson #markwilliams #stuartbingham #markselby #johnhiggins #juddtrump #keepingtheballrolling #grabthebullbythehorns

05.01.2022 KEDRON WAVELL SOS Hi there guys! As we start to see a light post the Corona Virus epidemic, it's very includes that it has struck down many a sporting association throughout Australia. ... Obviously cue sports have not been immune to its effects, but as we all prepare to manoeuvre our way out of restrictions, our friends at the Kedron Wavell Snooker Inc in Brisbane have been hit especially hard. Kedron Wavell heavily relied on sponsors to have one of Australias premier Snooker Venues. A great portion of their rent was covered each year by one of our major sponsors. Due to the Covid-19 however, they have lost all sponsorship for 2020 and their lease is due at the end of June. Theyve now set up a GoFundMe page in the hope of raising the $28,000 required to cover rent & power for the year We at REVENTON SNOOKER invite everyone to dig deep and help to keep this beautiful 50 year old club alive. As is usually the case with these things, many hands make light work, so no donation is too great or too small. 05.01.2022 A shock exit for SHAUN MURPHY from the world championships over night, losing 10-4 to Thailand's NOPPON SAENGKHAM. 05.01.2022 So as we move forward into a new month of social distancing and isolation, it appears that now there is a light at the end of the tunnel... 04.01.2022 At this time, let's take a second to appreciate one of our beloved sponsors of our great game. This is a beautiful reminder that although we mainly get reminded of their work at major events, their magnificent products can be found in many different places all over Australia...

02.01.2022 We just had an interesting question put to us by one of our followers. A good isolation teaser... "If you took away all of Ronnie O'Sullivan's and Stephen Hendry's career prize money and left them with" only" the prize money they made from 147 breaks, would they have made enough money to survive?" Can anyone out there get back to us with those totals? (preferably before Ronnie makes another 147 please!) ... #reventon #reventonsnooker #147 #maximum #break #prizemoney #champions #breakbuilders #machines #Ronnie #hendry #goat #welovesnooker #snooker #legends #grabthebullbythehorns #keepingtheballrolling

01.01.2022 Nothing much happening in the world of snooker today.... Only 147 number 11 for JOHN HIGGINS!! A slightly different reaction from Stave Davis' first ever 147 back in 1982...

01.01.2022 O'SULLIVAN CLAIMS SIXTH WORLD CROWN RONNIE O'SULLIVAN has cruised to his sixth world title in spectacular fashion overnight with a blistering 7 straight frame performance which saw him fend off young debutante, KYREN WILSON with breaks in the 50s, 60s, 70s and one in the 90s. Wilson, who O'Sullivan had glowing praise for in his post-match interview had an almighty mountain to climb if he was going to claim his first world title, but did not look overawed at all in the first 2... sessions where he only trailed O'Sullivan 10-8. But minor errors cost him dearly, as O'Sullivan appeared to find the groove which he had claimed had eluded him till that point of the championships. Ronnie also claimed that the absence of the usual huge numbers of spectators as a result of Covid-19 restrictions played a part in helping him to relax and refocus. Ronnie now sits in illustrious company with STEVE DAVIS and RAY REARDON, who also have 6 world titles to their names. Will one of the games greatest and naturally gifted players ever now set his sights on reaching STEPHEN HENDRY's record of 7 world titles? Only time will tell.... Post match interview. https://youtu.be/glzGMBdsyW0

01.01.2022 What a match this would have been to be table side to... 2 world champions in a best of 11, 3 centuries each, and shots like this... https://fb.watch/1DbSBejUTv/
