24.01.2022 Hi to all, David Yudkin from the Mildura Smallbore Rifle Club sent this email (below) this morning to let all know the news in regards to their shoot next month. Hi entrants and friends,... It is with much regret that we have decided, actually it was decided for us, that the June long weekend Northwest Victorian Championships to be held in Sunny Mildura have had to be cancelled. Due to the current Victorian lockdown and almost certain ensuing restrictions once the lockdown is lifted, it is not going to be a viable weekend. We were really looking forward to a good weekend and catching up with all our fellow shooters and friends. We hope to be able to hold this event later in the year and will keep you all informed of any rescheduling. Cheers David MSBRC Club Captain

19.01.2022 To all members and associates, further to recent correspondence from the Secretary I advise that the range will be closed until further notice. This action is a result of the 23rd March declaration by the federal and State government. It was hoped they we could manage this as outlined in previous correspondence. However this morning we received the following from SA Police ... Directive from SAPOL "As per the direction issued by Commissioner Stevens on Monday 23rd of March 2020, all buildings used by social & sporting clubs, indoor sporting venues and outdoor spaces associated with those venues are closed until further notice. This means that all firearms clubs, commercial ranges and paintball operators need to cease all activities and close immediately. Please disseminate this information to all firearms clubs affiliated with your association, members within your club/organisation or any other relevant parties. Your help in this matter is appreciated. Link for reference below. https://www.police.sa.gov.au//commissioner-stevens-issues- - .Xnk4wCgzZaQ As a result of this the venue is closed. This is sad but we trust you will understand this is necessary. in the meantime dry firing practices (no ammo) is the go Regards Nick Sullivan

15.01.2022 Hi to all I am afraid that we have been unsuccessful in our bid for a grant from Recreation, Sport & Racing for the $14,970.00 we need for the erection of a toilet at our club rooms. We will keep trying for future grants but I'm sorry to say that all our members will still have to take that long walk for a while yet.
