25.01.2022 Today our Government delivered some much needed support for small businesses; heres a snapshot of the Economic Stimulus Package that was announced today. https://www.pm.gov.au/media/economic-stimulus-package - The instant asset write-off threshold from $30,000 to $150,000 for businesses with an aggregated annual turnover of less than $500 million until 30 June 2020;... - A 15 month investment incentive to 30 June 2021 for accelerated depreciation deductions businesses with a turnover of less than $500 million can deduct an additional 50% of the asset cost in the year of purchase; - A tax-free payment of between $2,000 and $25,000 for businesses with a turnover of less than $50 million that employ staff between 1 January 2020 and 30 June 2020, with eligible businesses receiving payments of 50% of the Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements from 28 April with refunds to be paid within 14 days; and - Eligible employers can apply for a 50% wage subsidy of an apprentices or trainees wage for up to 9 months from 1 January 2020 to 30 September 2020. 18.01.2022 As we reflect on ANZAC day this Saturday, we at RGM would like to recognise veterans, doctors and nurses who fought hard to save lives in past wars, particularly in a time right now where our health workers are working tirelessly to save lives and care for those who are unwell. We would also like to acknowledge Victoria Police who lost four policemen protecting our community and send our condolences to their families who have been affected by this tragedy. 16.01.2022 Our team RGM have been fundraising for Jeans for Genes Australia during the year and today it was somewhat different to other years. Team members are currently working from home and home schooling but we managed to get some photos together to share with you all. Our contribution is helping vital work being done in the labs at Childrens Medical Research Institute to help the 1 in 20 children living with a genetic disease or birth defect.
