22.01.2022 While our music tent may be closing its doors to most classes (and soon all classes) for the time being I choose to keep calm and carry on in other ways. I choose to make the most of this time to stretch my creative capacity and put a stronger emphasis on my online teachings. I choose to allow music to lift me up as it always has in darker times Music is such a powerful way to lift your spirits. You only need to do a quick google search on ‘wellbeing benefits of music’ to ...see a flood of proven reasons you should learn an instrument or just bring more music into your life. So, if you’re worried about being trapped inside for any period of time or you’re choosing to self-isolate, why not make the most of this time with me and take some online music classes? I have a variety of free or/and paid options for learning. I can offer 1:1 lessons via Zoom or Skype on various instruments for leisure including ukulele, guitar, bass, keys, drum kit, percussion and vocals. I also have a YouTube channel (You and Bree) where you can access free lessons for ukulele. I have a supporting Patreon page, where for just $2 per month you can get extra materials and support to compliment my YouTube channel and support your learning journey. I am also going to offer some more comprehensive and sequential online courses for ukulele (maybe other instruments too) with options for blended learning for those who can make face-to-face classes once that’s a possibility again. Half price for siblings and free for siblings under 12 months. Two weeks at the end of term will be used for catch up lessons and come and try sessions. Yesterday I launched my first lesson in my ukulele for beginners series. Why ukulele? It’s a great starter instrument. Small, inexpensive, only four strings (so easier), and even many musical legends play/ed ukulele. From The Beatles to Billie Eilish.
