24.01.2022 We're back! The team at Richmond Veterinary Clinic are taking a break from teaching our clinic cat ginger what it takes to be a veterinarian (he was mortified to hear where the thermometer goes...) and are returning to Facebook and Instagram to bring you updates on matters important to you, your pet and the clinic. Keep an eye out for educational content (approved videos/articles and information disease and illness trends in the Richmond area) and less educational content he...avily featuring the cream of the local puppy/kitten crop. If you have any questions or concerns with your animal companion give us a call on 9428 2220 or pop in and see us at 259 Church Street Richmond. Keep warm, and let us know if we can help.

20.01.2022 Attention Grooming Clients: We’d like to thank our amazing clients for being so patient during this difficult time! Unfortunately at this stage we are unable to reopen our grooming salon due to ongoing government restrictions. We are still unsure when we’ll be able to take grooming appointments again but we’re crossing our fingers and hoping to hear good news ASAP. We’d like to encourage our clients to get in touch as soon as restrictions begin to ease so that we can book your dog in at the earliest convenient opportunity. If you think the condition of your pet’s coat is a genuine welfare issue, please call the clinic on 9428 2220 to arrange an assessment. We will do everything we’re able to ensure your pet is healthy and comfortable.

18.01.2022 Hey all, we have had this cheeky lorikeet handed into us. He or she was found on Wangarratta Street, near Richmond Station. It is pretty tame and is very chatty! If anyone knows where this pretty bird's home is please contact us at the clinic - 9428 2220

17.01.2022 Call us at the clinic on 9428 2220 and chat to Nurse Mel about this divine little creature!

15.01.2022 1 in 3 cats in Australia have been found to be overweight or obese do you suspect your own feline friend may be among this number? When Ginger first came into our clinic he weighed in at a hefty 9.5kg about 4kg over his ideal body weight. A few months down the track and thanks to a great team effort he now weighs just under 7kg! It’s clear to see that Ginger is a much healthier and happier cat now though he still begs for a bite of our lunches! To achieve Ginger’s wei...ght loss we decided to feed him a formulated weight loss diet and restrict his access to treats and human food, much to poor Ginger’s frustration. Ginger can often be found scuttling after a treat ball or pouncing on a feathered cat toy which we use to encourage exercise and entertain ourselves (also Ginger). If you’d like to discuss your pet’s weight with one of our vets or nurses, just give us a call on 9428 2220. We’d be more than happy to organise a consultation time with you!

13.01.2022 MISSING This is Jessy, she was taken while outside of Coles on Bridge Road around 5pm this last Saturday. She's a well loved girl with a distraught family missing her dearly. This is not something we typically see in our community, but we urge everyone to take extra care with their companions with some potentially unscrupulous individuals running around Richmond.... If you have found or seen Jessy, or have any information please contact: Janine (owner) : 0417 247 374 Richmond Veterinary Clinic: 9428 2220 If your companion ever goes missing, please don't hesitate to contact us. We will gladly do what we can to see their safe return.

If you're missing you're little friend give us a buzz at the clinic and describe them, hopefully we can facilitate a reunion ;) ... If a friend or family member has lost a budgie recently be sure to let them know it may be here.

04.01.2022 An update on covid for richmond vet clinic. As we where all getting back to running as normal, we must now return to contactless consultations. This means when you arrive can you please call the reception desk to alert us of your arrival and appointment time. We may have 4 persons in the clinic at one time but we ask if you can not come in big family groups that will help us. The nurses will come and collect you and ask you into a consultatrion room where the vet will contact you via the phone on the wall and the treatment of your pet will take place away from you with one of our nurses. We thank you all for your co operation and understanding through out this pandemic. To all our wonderful clients please stay safe.
