14.01.2022 We would like to inform you that weve been advised from the Metro North Public Health Unit that due to the outbreak in Victoria and state boarders opening, it is recommended we recommence visitor and staff temperature screening upon arrival. During business hours this will be done by reception. When visiting after hours please use the designated phone at reception to call the RN on duty who will perform your temperature check. There is a question on the digital sign in that asks you to record your temperature. Otherwise, there is no other changes. It is still 2 visitors at a time per resident and all visitors are required to have had their flu vaccination prior to visiting Rockpool Morayfield.

14.01.2022 Commencing 08:00am, Saturday 22 August 2020: Due to the positive COVID-19 cases in South East Queensland. We would like to inform you that we have received advice from the Public Health Unit that due to these cases, we are now required to follow the Aged Care Direction Requirements for Restricted Residential Aged Care Facilities (according to the directive from the Chief Health Officer) as follows:... -Visitors are not permitted to enter the home except under compassionate circumstances, such as to visit a resident who is palliating -Residents will not be able to go into the wider community unless for a medical or specialist appointment until further notice -All staff will be required to wear a mask whilst providing care to residents

12.01.2022 Due to the recent COVID-19 outbrakes in VIC and NSW we are it is recommended we recommence restricted visiting hours and maintain current screening processes upon arrival. 07.01.2022 Yesterday we had the opportunity to see a beautiful Koala at Rockpool Morayfield! Our local RSPCA member reports our little mate is a young male (buck) who is approximately 12 Months old as this is the age Koalas will leave to find their own territory. He reports our young buck is in good shape although we will monitor him over the weekend and report any issues to the Wildlife Centre. What a lovely sight! #Koala #rockpoolmorayfield #rockpoolrac

03.01.2022 As restrictions ease across Queensland we would like to remind you of our updated visiting hours being 9:30-11:30AM, 1:30-3:30PM, and 5:30-7:30PM daily. We are going to continue asking screening questions and will turn away anyone that has not had the current flu vaccination as per government legislation. Rockpool is looking for a volunteer bus driver to take our residents to see the Christmas lights on the 10th of December as well as other bus trips in the coming months if you're interested. 02.01.2022 We currently are experiencing a power outage due to severe weather. We are all in good spirits and have plenty of torches and awesome staff taking care of our residents. Please be aware as a result of this our phone and wifi is currently down. We have an emergency phone for the RN to call out as needed. Our wonderful kitchen staff are using camping stoves to make soup and sandwiches for dinner!
