14.01.2022 If you’ve never heard the name Nedo Nadi before then get ready, his story is going to blow you away. Born in Livorno, Italy in 1894 to a famous fencing master ...father: Giuseppe Nadi, Nedo grew up practising fencing from a young age. This hard work paid off and he became the youngest fencer to win Olympic gold in men’s foil at the age of 18 at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. After serving in the army during World War 1 he came back to fencing and competed at the 1920 Antwerp Olympics. This is where he became the only fencer in history to win a gold medal in each of the three weapons in one games and win the most fencing gold medals ever at a single games, 5 in total. If you want to check out how the skills that Nedo had to win so many medals then be sure to check out this video of him fencing below! https://youtu.be/1vIJlSIu73c
