25.01.2022 The Rosebud & District’s Men’s Shed hasn’t posted for a while, however we have been busy. Attached is a short video which is a compilation of photographs that have been taken since the shed journey started circa September 2018 up to the start of the second lockdown in July this year. The shed is now ready for the next stage in its growth, all our members are looking forward to starting new projects in 2021, when we will be at COVID normal, hopefully.

23.01.2022 The Tootgarook Preschool needed 2 new outdoor tables to replace their weathered and well worn ones. The Men's Shed was only too happy to assist. The staff and children love using them, they are used every day at kinder. The Preschool sent there thanks to the Shed for our wonderful craftsmanship and professionalism in getting this job done.

23.01.2022 After many weeks of challenging and at times frustrating work on the computer and with the assistance of You Tube our 3D printer is now fully operational. The next project is working out how to use 3D Printing Software tools that are available. We also have setup a Laser engraving machine, this involved a similar amount of work to get operational.

22.01.2022 The Rosebud & Districts Men’s Shed is back in action in 2021. After a difficult 2020 we have hit the ground running at the shed. Some of the projects underway and/or completed include: - Our dust extraction system for the woodworking equipment is now operational. This is will allow the collection of wood dust and cuttings to a central point. In conjunction with the dust extraction system the air filtration system is fully operation. This system filters any dust particles in ...the air ensuring the better working environment for our members. Air-conditioners were installed in the social space in 2020 at the same time we also mounted 8 off ceiling fans. However, the fans were not operational. Thanks to MP Electrics (Mark Phillips) who donated his time and materials to the shed the electrical installation of the fans has now been completed. They are now helping to keep our members comfortable on hot days. Our welding area is now fully operational, this includes a MIG welder, Arc Welder, Plasma Cutter a separate dedicated welding fume extraction system. One of our members is happy and more that willing to help any members who are interested in learning how to use this equipment. In conjunction with the SWCH, we are supporting the Mighty Good Men Group at the Shed; they are currently meeting every Thursday that the shed. Adam Borge is a Family relationship Counsellor, with WaterFront Counselling in Frankston. He formed "The Mighty Good Men Group" which has been running for 7 years. The group was in need of a new space to meet. They have arranged to meet in the social space at the Men's Shed. The group was in need of a safe and friendly space for men to come together, have a chat and get some support as well. Adam is a qualified counsellor and his group helps those attending tackle key health issues for men, including loneliness, depression and anxiety. Adam provides a hot lunch every week and the group does activity-based days including playing croquet. We have recommenced our monthly BBQ cleaning program at the Rosebud Bunnings Store. This provides additional funds for the shed’s development. We have introduced a monthly sports night at the shed. Our members are able to play pool/snooker, table tennis, darts and cards. The intention is to determine the level of interest among our members and it there is sufficient interest we will put together teams to compete with our local community groups with similar interests. We are continuing to have our regular meetings on Wednesdays and Fridays each week. New members are always welcome so come along and have a look.

20.01.2022 The lining and insulation of the walls in the social space at the Shed is underway. Work will be completed by the end of January 2020.This will ensure that we are cool in summer and warm in winter. The installation of 2 air-conditioners in the social space and 8 ceiling fans throughout the Shed is also in progress.

19.01.2022 The dividing wall construction at the shed is underway, when completed the Shed will be divided into two separates activity areas: - Social Space: This is a quieter area where more passive actives can take place. Members can meet and chat. Work Space: This caters for a range of activities which will vary from time to time in accordance with members’ current interests and collective skills.... It has taken the Men's Shed team 12 months to get this project under way, it has finally started, we hope to have it completed mid-February 2020.

17.01.2022 The kitchen installation is underway at the Men's Shed. We will soon be cooking roast dinners! Special thanks to the members who have helped with this project for all their hard work. In particular to Wayne Bolton who is the driving force in getting it done.

11.01.2022 Any men who would like to have a go at lead lighting are welcome to come along to the Rosebud & Districts Men’s Shed, 11A Allambi Avenue, Capel Sound. 08.01.2022 With our kitchen completed it was time to put it into good use. We had a group of trainee cooks at the Men’s Shed making Cornish pasties. The results were outstanding, what else would you expect. We even had enough to share with others. We are all looking forward to our next cooking adventure, a healthy curry dish is under consideration.

04.01.2022 We have completed the kitchen installation at the Shed. Well done to all who contributed to getting the job done.

03.01.2022 At the end of 2019 the Shed members had a review of our progress during the year and discussed our priorities for 2020. These are things that were identified as being the positive results from being a member of our Shed.
