09.05.2022 The Rotary Club of Cobar has completed another project to assist our remote Communities. Cobar Rotary has participated with the Penrith Valley and Dubbo Rotary Clubs to provide School in a Box kits to remote schools. Cobar Rotary Provided a School in a Box Kit to the Hermidale Public School located some 100 kms east of Cobar.... Club President David Snelson was on hand to present the kit to the School Captain Mac Lawson and the School Community.



01.04.2022 The Rotary Club of Cobar has been very busy this weekend!! After the annual Christmas Street Carnival BBQ Friday night the Club members lined up to cook and serve a sumptuous BBQ dinner for over a 100 CSA Mine workers at the Tom Knight Rugby League Oval last night. Another great opportunity to meet people and to advertise the Rotary Brand in our Community.

27.03.2022 well we are back into the BBQ circuit again. A big night last night with a BBQ for the Annual Street Carnival. A great crowd turnout and many thanks to the community who supported our Rotary BBQ. A great opportunity to enjoy a typical summer evening meeting nice people.

13.03.2022 Well the Rotary Club of Cobar is on the front foot again to assist in the community during the current Covid Lock down affecting the Schools in Cobar. The Cobar Club has made 50 School Home Learning Kits available to each of the 2 primary School in Cobar to assist needy families currently home Leaning their children during the lock down. The kits valued at $25.90 each were purchased locally to assist a local business in the town and to allow the School children to learn at home.



04.03.2022 Well another sincere thank you to that great Charitable organisation Australian Horizons Foundation and their partner Eye Candy Motor Sport . The Rotary Club of Cobar continues to be very appreciative of the ongoing financial support provided to them by the Australian Horizons Foundation in their ongoing efforts to support farmers in Western NSW recovering from Drought A further donation of funds to Cobar Rotary will allow us to continue to provide vouchers to these farmers until the end of 2021 Thanks again Australian Horizons Foundation!!

24.02.2022 Cobar Rotary Club was fortunate to host our Area Assistant Governor Peter Judd and his wife Lee during their official visit to Cobar. Peter was asked to present Paul Harris Fellow awards to Therese and Gordon Hill for their ongoing work with the Cobar Club's Drought Relief Project for farmers in western NSW. Therese and Gordon were nominated for the Paul Harris Fellow awards by the Rotary Club of Kogarah in Sydney who are strong supporters of the Drought Relief program

15.02.2022 Well it was all hands on deck again today with the Rotary Club of Cobar following up on their BBQ efforts yesterday for the official opening of the Miner's Memorial by providing BBQ Facilities at the CSA Mine Open Day event. Several hundred people came through the gate at the Mine to look at the latest mining technology , do various tours of the mine and of course to get a Rotary hot sausage or steak sandwich. Rotary on the GO !!

30.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Cobar has welcomed 2 new members to our Club. Jarrod Patton Son of Club President Peter and Jarrod's Partner Elizabeth Brown were presented with their Membership Certificates by President Peter at our recent Club meeting. It is great to see 2 young members joining our Club.

23.01.2022 Cobar Rotary Club pleased to welcome District Governor 9670 David Roach and his partner Amanda to Cobar for their official visit to the Club recently. Amanda is the incoming District Governor elect for 2021/22.

22.01.2022 Well distance was no barrier today with the District 9670 virtual conference via Zoom . The Rotary Club of Cobar was represented on the conference by 4 club members. Club members Therese and Gordon Hill were privileged to be invited to address the Conference of 296 Rotarians regarding the Cobar Club's long running drought relief project that has supported many struggling farmers in western NSW over the past two and a half years.
