I like to go fishing & spend heaps of time at the beach & be outdoors as often as possible, which lately has been very little Favourite TV Show - Where do I start? I Love The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Arrow & recently Vikings but I’d say that Game Of Thrones i...s definitely my favourite. Qualifications & Experience I’ve been working for Rough Draft for almost two years now but prior to that I was a pizza phenominom while I was studying building design at TAFE where I got my Cert IIII in Residential Drafting & Diploma of Building Design. Marital Status I do have a lady friend named Jayden who I’ve been dating for almost 3 years now. Why do you like rough draft I like rough draft because everyone here is so friendly & easy to get along with. Aside from than the level of experience & knowledge here is why i am humbled to work for such a great business! Strengths as a Draftsperson I would like to say speed & dedication to a job, when I have been given a job with tight time constraints I feel like I have the confidence to get it done on time. I think I owe to my hair, on the days it’s looking good I’m at least 20% more efficient. 20.01.2022 Happy Saturday everyone! Today we bring you a rendered image of a project we have recently completed. The design brief from the client was for a modern acreage style home for a large active family. The house has been designed to take advantage of the moderate slope across the block by incorporating four separate levels, each accessed by a maximum of five steps. By splitting the floor into separate levels we have been able to develop a modern and inviting facade to the home. This particular home has been designed on a large scale to suit a large family coming in at almost 500m2. 20.01.2022 Here at Rough Draft Home Design & Drafting we do all residential drafting from large custom designed homes through to small renovations and additions to your home (and everything in between) Today we have a sample of a smaller project that has recently been completed for a client. They had a large townhouse that they needed help to 'value add' to increase the rental return and property value. After a site visit and measure up, we modernized the townhouse by opening up the li...ving areas to create a sense of space to the ground floor. We also redesigned the external living areas incorporating a new deck area with built in bbq bench, garden beds and a neatly concealed drying and service area. Upstairs we utilized some extra space that was not being used and added a new ensuite, creating a master suite to the townhouse, all without actually adding any additional floor area to the home. Effectively adding a second bathroom. The client was thrilled with the end result and by all reports, the rental return has increased by $135/ week and added valuable equity to their investment. 19.01.2022 Last week we completed a site visit of one of the projects we have completed that is currently under construction. The project brief itself was a simple one that went along the lines of ‘We basically want the equivalent of a shipping container added onto the top of our existing home to create a new master bedroom to capture the views of the Breathtaking Surfers Paradise skyline’ Through the course of the design process the brief and concept changed upon consultation with t...he owners and their understanding of what could be achieved. What was once a pole home on a difficult sloping block of land is now starting to take shape as a contemporary home with a view worth every cent the owners are investing. 11.01.2022 The Rough Draft team have been busy working on a new range of homes for one of our clients over the past few weeks. Along with designing and drafting the plans for their homes to suit the specified blocks of land, we have been working on their marketing material as well. We have prepared colored floor plans including furniture placement, colored rendered images of the external facades and packaged the items together into some classy looking brochures ready to go out to their sales department.
