25.01.2022 It's time to get excited everyone because SOCCER'S BACK. The 2021 Rovers 5-aside competition starts this Saturday. There are 2 kick-off times (6pm and 7pm) this year. Please pay close attention to the attached fixtures and ensure that you arrive early on Saturday to complete the registration form and make payment before your scheduled kick-off time. Teams are required to provide a referee for allocated games this year (please refer to the fixtures). Remember the competition will fail to run effectively without referees so please do the right thing so everyone can have an enjoyable night.

20.01.2022 Be quick to sign your team up, interest in Rovers 5 aside Futsal night series is growing fast. There will be 2 divisions. The open division where teams of 9 (max) can be all men. Minimum age for the open division is 16, if you have a younger child that wants to play in the open division they will need to be assessed. The second division will be social mixed. Again max of 9 players per team. You will need at least 1 child aged 14-15 or a women on the field of play at all times. You may also register an all womens team in the mixed social division if you like. 10.01.2022 Good afternoon Clubs Football West 2020 Country Week Tournament is on 28/9/2020 - 2/10/2020. GJSA are looking for expressions of interest for teams in the following divisions : U11, U13, U15, U17 Boys and U12, U14, U17 Girls. GJSA will only send one team per division so a trial is likely which will be announced in due time. This EOI is to evaluate if we have the interest of players and families to send teams. ... Important things to take into consideration * No Camp option will be offered. * Change of venue for the tournament to Yokine Reserve, Yokine (Wordsworth Avenue) * A nominal fee (likely to be around $70) will be charged. This goes towards the cost of socks, first aid supplies, uniform use and coaches expenses. * Bag, tracksuit, polo and hoodie will be sold at an additional cost. Although there will not be a supervised camp, if families require accommodation, Swan Valley Adventure Centre can offer dorm style accommodation with shared bathrooms with breakfast and dinner for around $500/person for the week (Sunday to Friday). All children must be supervised by a nominated caregiver and must not be left unsupervised at any time. I will confirm this price asap for those who would like accommodation. 08.01.2022 Good morning clubs and players Please find below some basic information in regards to Country Week 2020 The GJSA committee has meet and discussed in length the logistics and costs for Country Week 2020. It was agreed to offer the following options for attendance.... OPTION 1. INDEPENDENT: $90/player (uniform and lunch extra if needed) Parents, by electing this option you will be required to arrange the players transport to and from Perth and to and from the games each day whilst in Perth. You will also be required to provide all accommodation and meals for the player, although snacks (fruit, muesli bars and muffins will be provided). It is important to understand the player’s attendance at all games is compulsory. OPTION 2. FULL CAMP: $700/player (uniform extra if required) Full package will include players’ accommodation at Swan Valley Adventure Camp School 58 Yule Avenue Middle Swan from Sunday 27th Sept until Saturday 3rd Oct, all meals and transport. Accommodation is shared room/dorm style. There will be NO raffle this year to assist in fundraising. All funds will need to be raised by the individual and their families. The location of this years tournament is at Yokine reserve (City of Stirling) and will run Sept 28 to Oct 2nd. I have attached a map. Trials and team selections will occur in June, coaching and staff EOI will be sent out in May. 2020 will be the last year GJSA will be offering the camp option for attendance of Country Week. This means no training or games for juniors or seniors till after the 14th April. Below is an extract of the FFA’s decision. FFA today convened a meeting of the National COVID-19 Working Committee and the Presidents of the State Body Members to further discuss football’s response to COVID-19. After ...careful consideration and having regard to the feedback received from the grassroots community, FFA advises that effective from 12:00am on 18 March 2020, all sanctioned grassroots football activity in Australia will be suspended until 14 April 2020. The suspension applies to all sanctioned matches and competitions, including National Premier Leagues, FFA Cup, youth and grassroots football (including MiniRoos and futsal) as well as training and associated football related activities. GJSA will be providing a small windup for participants after their match. Please see below for the details for each age group. Those team who have byes we will ensure you receive your medals and/or refreshments. U6 U12... At the completion of your fixtured game please come with your team and your coach to the shelter on the north eastern side of the main pitch. All players will receive a participation medal, juice box, small pkt of chips and fruit. Coaches please ensure your team is with you in an orderly manner.
