23.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day for yesterday <3 Sending love to all the dads, the step dads, pops and grandads, dads who are gone but not forgotten, to anyone who can't get home to see their dad. To the mums who rock at being mum and dad. Thinking of our Victorian friends in lockdown with no idea when things will get better. Oh heck... Just sending love to you all during these crazy times! Getting around on the scooter. Those dreamy sunsets. My lovely pets. Hope we can come back again soon. For now, sending love to our sweet friends and the island we called home for the last 7 years. 12.01.2022 Selamat Hari Raya Galungan friends I little late to the party but I popped in to look at insta and my feed was flooded with pretty photos from Bali friends and businesses so I wanted to share. Galungan marks the triumph of dharma (good) over adharma (evil). Ancestral spirits visit the Earth to see loved ones and return to their homes. Streets are lined with beautiful Penjor, the scent of incense fills the air and offerings for the gods are everywhere Wish I was in Bali ...to celebrate this magical time of year here. Maybe next year I will share some beauty I have come across tonight in my stories! A little note Ceremonies are so important to the Balinese culture and it can be an expensive time of year with all that's required... I can't imagine how stressful this Galungan is with Covid and so many people out of work... If you love Bali as much as I do and you find yourself in the position to give in some way, feel free to message me and I will share links to some charities that I know would love your support
