25.01.2022 While we are isolated, recycling still needs to happen, and RPM is doing it, up to 5000 bottles equivalent in each pipe. #recycledplastic #recycling #sustainableoptions #circulareconomy #australianowned RPM Pipes 100% recycled pipes.

23.01.2022 Forbes Shire Council is taking a lead in boosting initiatives to support the recycling industry diverting tens of thousands of plastic bottles from landfill by choosing to buy 100% recycled plastic drainage pipes. The council's decision to use RPM Pipes for drainage in the shire's quarries will divert the equivalent of 80,0000 plastic bottles from landfill. That's 16 times more than what's featured in this photo! Fantastic effort Forbes Shire Council!... 23.01.2022 While most people are confined to their homes at the moment, they are still filling their recycling bin each week. As a community, we have to keep recycling as long as we safely can. RPM Pipes are still producing and delivering pipes made 100% from recycled plastic, while strictly following guidelines for community safety. In addition, we are also processing other types of plastic that can’t be used in our pipes, so that other Australian manufacturers can keep the circular e...conomy going, for as long as possible. That means the milk and shampoo bottles, fruit juice bottles and many other plastics that you put out the front of your house for collection each week are still being recycled into high value products by RPM Pipes. We are extending our support to everyone in their homes across Australia in the best way we can right now observing safety rules, equipping staff to work remotely, and continuing to recycle your materials. #remotework #recycle #safework

21.01.2022 Here’s a throwback a fun project we did in 1999, when we ‘launched’ the Tatura 2000 Rocket to celebrate the start of the new millennium. 20 years later and the rocket can still be found sticking of the ground where it ‘crash landed’ near Tatura’s Italian Social Club. #rpmpipes #recycling #customproject #throwback #recycledplastic #community

16.01.2022 Where do your milk bottles go once they are empty? RPM Pipes is ready to recycle 500,000 plastic bottles every week, turning your kerbside recyclables into 100%... recycled stormwater pipes. Our pipes can match the price and performance requirements of the virgin plastic pipes currently being used in civil projects across Victoria and are approved for use beside roads by Department of Transport. #nationalrecyclingweek is a great time to celebrating the fact that City of Kingston and Forbes Shire Council have acted to start closing the loop on plastic recycling, buying RPM Pipes this year - and we have had lots of positive meetings with other clients who recognise the benefit of high quality 100% recycled plastic pipes.

13.01.2022 At a time, when good news can seem hard to find, Terry Kay has a great story to tell and Global Recycling Day 18 March 2020 has got to be the right day to tell it. Terry and his wife Lauren have spent their lives developing stormwater drainage pipes out of recycled plastic at RPM Pipes in Central Victoria. How can stormwater pipes, one of the most boring products known to humanity, have become a fixation for these two? ... The fact is, there are stormwater pipes alongside each side of virtually every residential street in Australia and almost none of those pipes have been recycled, until now. This month, the Victorian Government announced they would finally level the playing field, ensuring that their projects used recycled products first if they were available. Given that RPM’s pipes each use the equivalent of up to 5000 used milk bottles, and Australia has been struggling to work out what to do with its left over plastic, this is really great news for the environment, once the government start buying Terry’s pipe. Most importantly, it’s a great tribute to the remarkable Kay family, who have persevered for 20 years through tough times, simply because they believed that our left over plastic should be turned into valuable products. Think of Terry and Lauren next time you put a bottle into the recycling bin. Then go and ask your local Council and engineering friends how many recycled pipes they are using. Help two Australian #RecyclingHeroes get the recognition they deserve. #RecyclingHeroes #GlobalRecyclingDay2020 #GoodNewsStory #RPMPIPES #VictorianManufacturing #SustainabilityVictoria #livecountryvic

06.01.2022 The simple act of buying a speckled stormwater pipe rather than the usual black plastic model has raised hopes that Victoria could emerge from the COVID-19 lockdown with a better approach to recycling.
