From the 18 contestants the 12 finalists are: Andrea O'Halloran, Andrea White, Annika Scott, Brodie Hill, Caitlin Radford, Dylan Bellchambers, Ethan McCarthy, Josh Mison, Mitchell Grey, Owen Woolley, Stafford Ives-Heres, and Stuart Cresswell. 20.01.2022 Its time warp Tuesday with a flashback to our 2017 Business Excellence Award win! A huge achievement by the team coming away with the Building Communities award. This award highlighted our work assisting young Tasmanians gain vital employability and life skills, helping young people of like mindedness connect and socialise, and developing and implementing a strategic plan and organisation restructure, which in the long run positively affected our members, and still is. Lets put our hands together again for our CEO Karen Robinson, 2017 State President Ashley Evans and 2017 State Vice President Jake Williams. Thanks to the Launceston Chamber of Commerce and Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees for continuing to recognise local businesses achievements.

20.01.2022 BIG NEWS: Rural Youth is incredibly thankful to the Tasmanian Government for its $300,000 contribution announced today toward the organisation and Agfest Field Days, Tasmania enabling Rural Youth to continue to its vital work in empowering and supporting young Tasmanians. Agfest is set to return to the paddock in 2021 from 5-8 May and in the cloud from 8-15 May. #Agfest #TasmanianGovernment #Thankyou #Agfest2021

18.01.2022 Today we held the Nutrien Ag Solutions_Au Young Farmer of the year competition runoffs, held at Hagley Farm School with 18 strong and dedicated competitors! Each competitor had to complete 8 theory and practical modules, including topics such as welding, fencing, finance and animal scoring! Minister Guy Barnett MP kindly made a visit to see the competitors in action!... Stayed tuned for the announcement of our top 12 young farmers, heading to finals on August 14 at Quercus Park!

16.01.2022 Club Feature: Brighton Rural Youth Over the last few months, Brighton Rural Youth have been very busy from holding a virtual ute competition via their Facebook page which was a huge success with over 100 entries to moving their meeting space to the Broadmarsh Hall and attending quarterly working bees at the hall. Brighton also recently enjoyed an escape room evening organised by Oatlands Rural Youth and have supported a number of local pubs by having regular catch-ups which is great to see. #RuralYouth

Pictured is #Agfest Chairman Noel Beven, committee member Helen White and Agfest Site Manager Ronald Gunn, who were all involved in the very first Agfest in 1983. 11.01.2022 A big congratulations to the team at Giant Steps Tasmania for their wonderful work in bringing Agfest Field Days, Tasmania to the school. With students missing the paddock event, the team created a classroom field day trip that included visits to the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment Fishcare, Launceston Christian School Oliebollen, Discover Dairy and The Mercury Newspaper Faces on the Page Exhibits. 06.01.2022 20th Anniversary of the Quercus Park Function Centre Opening Today marks 20 years since the Function Centre at Quercus Park was officially opened on the 25th November 2000 by Sir Guy Green, Governor of Tasmania. Pictured in the first photo is Helen Geard, Agfest Chairman and Gavin Gleeson, State President (at the time) with The Honourable Sir Guy Green.... The centre is available for hire for a range of events including weddings, training courses and conferences, with facilities including a purpose-built bar and commercial kitchen.
