14.01.2022 Dani from our sister company @cafelightingandliving shares her 3 tips on making gift wrapping a breeze. 1.Sharp pair of scissors - you don't want to struggle getting through the paper. 2. Box of ribbon, bows, and tape - have everything you need organised and always in reach.... 3. Have bottle gift bags on hand - bottle gift bags are handy for if last minute guests pop in. 03.01.2022 There aint no party like a Chardy Pardy! Chardonnay is such an interesting wine, as it can be so versatile. There are so many different flavour profiles that can be displayed, depending on growing region and winemaking technique.... Here in Australia, we grow Chardonnay in both cool and warm climates, depending on which climate these grapes are coming from, you will have quite distinct and diverse notes. Cool climate regions include areas such as Yarra Valley, Orange, Mornington Peninsula, Tasmania and of course Tumbarumba, where we source our grapes for our Alessandro Reserve Chardonnay. Typical characteristics include stone fruit, peach, nectarine, and a lean and earthy minerality. The warmer regions are areas like Mudgee, Heathcote, Margaret River and naturally right here in the Hunter Valley. These warm climate Chardonnays display toasty notes of honey and caramel, and are simply sunshine in a glass! Do you have a favourite Chardonnay style? Comment below what you love about Chardonnay.

02.01.2022 We hope everyone survived the first heatwave of the (almost) summer over the weekend. The soaring temperatures didn't slow us down at the Cellar Door, but we are definitely looking forward to this coming weekend being a little cooler...and it's not just because of our music lineup! Don't forget to head over to our website and book your tasting!
