25.01.2022 Shout Out To A Fellow Business ... There's nothing I love more than supporting other small businesses! Today I'd like to highlight the company that created SagaSocial's new logo; ClickClick Graphic Design & Photography.... I did lots of research before I ended up choosing Sonja at Click Click Design, and am so pleased that I did. I had a very detailed brief and clear idea in my head of what I wanted and Sonja did a fantastic job translating this into my current logo. She also guided me on my brand colours and introduced a beautiful, mature marine blue as part of my branding which perfectly complements SagaSocial's visual voice. Furthermore, the entire process took less than a month and pricing was very reasonable. If you need a logo or graphic design work, I recommend Sonja & Click Click Design! Visit their website or facebook page below. www.clickclickdesign.com.au ClickClick Graphic Design & Photography
24.01.2022 ... Bit of light weekend reading! I enrolled in an online university course at the start of the year to deepen my knowledge on all things digital marketing. I haven't studied or written academic essays in many, many years so it's been a great mix of challenging and fun.... Digital marketing is such an exciting space because it is changing and evolving at an incredible pace. There are new concepts, strategies and entire platforms popping up literally on a daily basis... So us who work in this space need to constantly keep our finger on the pulse. As Steve Jobs said; Learn continually... There's ALWAYS "one more thing" to learn. This is true in life and certainly in digital marketing too

19.01.2022 Do you have many instagram followers but low post engagement? This is actually very common and leaves business owners scratching their heads, not to mention feeling frustrated. One reason that not too many are aware of is that it could be because a large amount of your followers are inactive and never actually use Instagram. ... Why does that matter? Because Instagram shows your posts to roughly 10% of your followers, and if a large percentage of your followers are inactive it means your post will be shown to pointless accounts who maybe haven't been online in years. Removing inactive followers and bot accounts means your posts will be shown to relevant, active accounts who can engage with the post, and both your engagement rate and post reach goes up. And in the long run, high engagement = more visibility = more new relevant followers. So paradoxically, removing irrelevant followers may mean that you gain more followers quicker.
16.01.2022 My weekend in a few pictures I had some friends visiting from Berlin and got to show them around my home town and beautiful Stockholm! Cafe's with buns and cakes, wonderful autumn weather, city walks and classic Swedish meatballs - it was great being a tourist in my own country for a couple of days.
15.01.2022 "I’m so thankful you are on this journey with me and helping me with my social content!" Positive client feedback like this is - and will always be - absolute music to my ears! And this lovely client of mine put it perfectly, working with social media really is a journey. ... To me, my clients aren't "just" my clients. They are my partners in business and it's my job to support, guide and ultimately help them achieve their business goals. Their success really is my success in every sense of the word. Cliché but oh so true!
15.01.2022 It's very easy to get caught up in posting about the things YOU like to talk about on social media. After all, you are passionate about your business and what you do and could probably talk about it all day long. But it's important to remember that in order to build a great brand on social media, you need to tap into your audience's wants and needs and create content that resonates with them. After all, the reason 90% of businesses are on social media is in order to connect ...with their clients and customers and eventually generate sales. So try to put yourself in your followers shoes. What are they actually interested in learning about your business? That's what you need to tap in to and where the magic happens. Think about your favourite brands, what kind of content do you they produce that you enjoy, and what makes it enjoyable? Start experimenting with the type of posts you create and keep a close eye on your engagement statistics and document the winners. It won’t take long to get an idea of what your audience loves and wants to see more of.

13.01.2022 Many business owners get frustrated if they don't see immediate results of their social media efforts. But it's important to know that social media is a journey, not a sprint or marathon:

12.01.2022 This image is a friendly reminder to people, such as myself, who tend to be perfectionistic when it comes to all things business (and especially design). Although I love good design, and believe in the importance of it, it's also important to remember that good design can't fix a broken business model. Steve Jobs put it perfectly; Design is not just what it looks like and feels like... Design is how it works.
12.01.2022 Introducing my latest client and awesome human; EJ Fit Eunice is a Personal Trainer with her own business in sunny Perth, Western Australia. She helps, supports and guides her clients on all things health, fitness and diet. Eunice and I actually used to be close colleagues at a previous corporate job, many years ago. How times have changed for both of us, from strutting around an office in heels, to something entirely different! ... I will be helping Eunice and EJ Fit with social media content creation for her new Facebook and Instagram page. Welcome to the Saga family EJ Fit and looking forward to working together again!
11.01.2022 I listen to a lot of business podcasts as I find it to be an excellent way to keep up with social media news, trends and to gain new knowledge. There really is a wealth of information out there and best of all; it's totally free! But with so many podcast episodes around, it can be very time consuming to discover those real gems that almost every business owner would benefit from hearing. That's why I'm going to start sharing the best podcast episodes I come across which I t...hink are especially worthwhile. Let's start with a podcast from one of my favourite creators; Social Media Examiner, episode 405: Using Facebook Ads in Uncertain Times. This podcast is from May earlier this year but it's still relevant and contains some great tips around how to navigate Facebook advertising during the COVID-19 pandemic, how the customer journey has changed, how to adjust your Facebook ad messaging for the current climate, and how you can tweak your existing Facebook ads. Give it a listen here: http://bit.do/social-media-examiner-405 ... And let me know your thoughts!
11.01.2022 It's currently 28 degrees outside (pretty much considered an extreme heatwave here in Sweden) but instead of being out getting some precious sun, here I am working away in my office! Lucky I don't mind, it's such a great, productive feeling getting extra things done on a Saturday I wish you all a beautiful weekend!
10.01.2022 Wishing you a wonderful Easter weekend full of tasty food and hopefully an easter egg or three! I get to spend this Easter with family for the second year in a row, something I feel very grateful for (and not to mention full after devouring the delicious lamb roast my mum cooked for us yesterday...) May your weekend be just as bright and joyful as mine

09.01.2022 Have you heard about Facebook Horizon, the new social VR Experience platform? With virtual reality gradually becoming more mainstream (accelerated by increased take-up amid the COVID-19 lockdowns) Facebook Horizon is shaping up to be an interesting social VR offering with powerful building tools that will allow players to create and share their own worlds. "Horizon invites you to explore an ever-expanding universe of virtual experiences designed and built by the entire com...munity. In Horizon, you can build the things you want to see and places you want to visit." -Facebook Interesting concept, indeed! Like a very levelled-up version of The Sims. Will this be the next huge social media platform hit?
09.01.2022 These are some common errors I see time and time again when it comes businesses running their own facebook ads... And no wonder; they are easy mistakes to make if you don't know exactly what you are doing (and have had proper training)! Let's take a closer look at each individual item: Not setting up the Facebook Pixel - without the pixel you are unable to make the most of tracking, optimisation, retargeting and custom audiences which will no doubt effect the performance of... your ads. Only using boosted posts - boosted post can be useful for increased post reach and brand awareness, but if you're looking for a return on ad spend and sales / leads, you really need to create structured campaigns in ads manager. No remarketing strategy in place - no one (or at least very few) buys / converts after seeing just 1 facebook ad, because people are on facebook to be social, not to purchase things. That's why you must have a remarketing strategy in place and serve them several ads - this warms them up to your brand and offer. Not testing and optimising ads - no doubt you've heard this before! Without testing, analysing and optimising your ads continuously, you're not going to be able to do more of what works and less of what doesn't work, which essentially drives up your ad spend cost. Trying to sell to ice cold audiences - if someone has never met you before, greeting them with "Hi, buy my stuff now!" probably isn't going to go down too well. Yet that's what many do on facebook - no wonder their ads don't convert! That's why awareness of cold, warm and hot audiences and remarketing strategies is essential for ad success. Have you been making any (or all!) of these mistakes? Don't worry, we all have, and now you know better! If you need help with the facebook ads you're running for your business, get in touch! I can do a complimentary basic audit of your ad account and offer advice on what can be improved and any obvious bottlenecks. Just send me a DM and we can chat more
08.01.2022 Throwback to when I ticked off an entrepreneurial bucket list item... Working on my business whilst overlooking Bondi Beach. (Ironically, the venue I'm working from here is literally called "Bucket List")... Here are some other places where I'm intending to take a similar picture: Under the sun in Malta From a beach bar in Byron Bay Overlooking a sunset in Mexico Enjoying the cherry blossom season in Tokyo Looking out at the mountains in Canada Surrounded by turquoise water in the Philippines ... Oh my, I'm getting itchy boots just writing about it! Let's hope I can make the above a reality in the not too distant future
08.01.2022 "Today I made a Zoom background of myself accidentally walking in on myself in a Zoom meeting" See below video for the result, a genius work of art if you ask me This video also went viral on his Twitter with over 80,000 shares to date. "Honestly? I was bored," Dan Crowd told Mashable.com, when asked where he got the idea from. "If I’d known I could get this kind of engagement with five minutes of work, I wouldn’t have tried so hard for the last 12 years."
07.01.2022 Why hello there, September! It's the first day of autumn here in Sweden, meaning the cold and dark is quickly approaching and soon working outside in nature, as in below picture, will seem like just a very distant memory... Lucky for me I much prefer working from my home office. Working outdoors looks great on paper (and in photos!) but in all actuality, the wind, sun, persistent bugs and beautiful scenery can be somewhat distracting in my personal experience ... I wish you all a productive and prosperous month ahead, wherever you are in the world!
06.01.2022 The story about our name Why are we called 'SagaSocial' and what does it represent? Rebranding (and specialising in social media) meant I also needed to choose a new name for the business. ... It was important to me to choose a name that not only accurately reflects me, my values and my business, but I also wanted the name to have meaning and thought behind it. This turned out to be a task easier said than done. Evidently, being both a perfectionist and indecisive is a challenging combination when coming up with a business name... ... So after at least 6 months of brain storming (read: frustration and hair pulling), one can say that choosing a name became quite a saga in itself! But that's not the reason why SagaSocial was chosen. The word "saga" is an Old Norse and Swedish word meaning "an epic story told in chapters". The word originated in Scandinavia in the Middle Ages and back in those days, a saga typically involved a hero on a legendary journey or quest. This really resonated with me, not only because it ties in with my Swedish heritage, but also since stories and storytelling is an integral part of social media and the work that I do for my clients. Using storytelling in social media enable me to build my clients' brand and personality, creating a genuine connection with followers and customers alike. And so, the name SagaSocial was born. I'd like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to those of you who helped me choose a business name last year. Timmeh Mullen, Charlotte Marie, Celeste Emily, James Gatward, Kristoffer Collopy, Bo Hellman, Ashleigh Hetaraka, Erik Lo Linus Hellman, William Andrew, Luke Samuèl-Richardson, Lina Hellman, Glenn Shields, Yani Foord, Laura Macc, Damion Pell and anyone else I may have consulted - a big THANK YOU for taking the time to give me your honest opinion and input some 10 months ago when I reached out asking for advice. Your support was (and is) appreciated beyond words!
05.01.2022 Did you notice this notification on the ever-changing platform that is Instagram? As you may have discovered, the layout of the app has changed recently: The "New Notifications" and "Create a Post" buttons have moved from the bottom tab to the top right hand corner... The bottom tab has been replaced with a "Reels" and "Instagram Shopping" button These are two rather changes and a deliberate move by Instagram to really promote their new-ish features Reels and Shopping. Some say the app is slowly turning into a better-looking merged version of YouTube and Amazon... What are your thoughts, will this evolution make or break Instagram?
01.01.2022 I never thought a pot could make me go "wow". Until I had the pleasure to help Alma Outdoor market these beautiful, award-winning plant pots by Blinde Design. Not only are they stunning and unique, they're also environmentally friendly and made from 95% recycled natural materials. ... A true work of art! That's one of the great things about doing what I do, I get to discover magnificent brands and businesses that I probably wouldn't have come across on my own. What do you think of it, is this minimalistic style your thing?
