16.01.2022 Hi All It is with the heaviest of sad hearts that it has fallen upon me to impart the sadness of news. Today one of the most respected Board and Life Members of SAJSA, Rob Kilpatrick, passed away. As many of you would be aware, Rob has been fighting Cancer for the past 3 years but finally succumbed to this hideous disease this morning. Rob has been of tremendous support to me as Vice President and his input has been invaluable to the running of both State and Country Champion...ships along with running the SAJSA website. In addition to his input to SAJSA, Rob is also a Life Member of AHJSA and the Hahndorf Soccer Club where he has worked tirelessly for many years. Each and every person involved with any of the above will know Rob and will sadly miss his presence. Our sincere condolences are extended to his wife Ingrid and his children at this trying time. Funeral details will be advised when and where they are available as I'm sure many of you will want to know. Concluding with great sadness Ray Matthews SAJSA President See more

14.01.2022 Regrettably I have to announce that SAJSA are cancelling the Country Championships for season 2020. We did not make this decision lightly as outlined further below. After a survey of our members it was estimated that only 26 teams may attend, including the host Association,... which was only an estimate based on replies and could easily have been less. Due to this the Board decided that it was in the best interests to cancel the event for 2020. Sunraysia have agreed to host it in 2021 and Broken Hill have agreed to postpone their hosting until 2022. TO BOTH THESE ASSOCIATIONS WE SINCERELY THANK THEM FOR THEIR CO-OPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING. The decision to cancel was not taken lightly and many areas were taken into consideration Ø Burden put upon parents for travel and accommodation that, may have suffered financially from the virus. Ø Possible social distancing problems at the venues Ø Any constrictions for numbers being at a venue Ø Number of teams attending so as not to affect the integrity of the event Ø Financial burden put upon the host to provide all requirements of covid-19 with severely diminished revenue if less than 50 teams attend. Ø Hosting costs to the Association which would be consistent and again restricted if few teams attend. Ø Whether an Association can spare the weekend if they are playing a shortened season These were just some of the items considered before the decision was regrettably made. We, the SAJSA Board members sincerely thank you for your patience in awaiting the decision and trust you have a safe season albeit shortened or otherwise and stay safe. Regards Ray Matthews President

13.01.2022 350 coaches participated in the FSA zoom session last night. I hope many of the SAJSA member coaches were amongst them to receive the guidelines. To all SAJSA coaches, players and parents, please adhere to the rules so we don't ruin the chance of playing this year and possibly going into an even stricter lockdown.

08.01.2022 Please find attached the final recommendations from FSA, in conjunction with SA Health including detailed sheets with coaching drill guidelines and general information for all including parents, officials and players. We strongly advise all persons to access the FSA website detailed on the CEO statement to obtain this information

02.01.2022 Please find further update and advice for training. NOTE on the advice 1 club has already breached the rules and been punished. Make sure you follow the rules because it is being monitored and none of us want to have training cancelled altogether
