04.01.2022 Dear Community Members, What a good time we all had at the Scott Creek Bonfire Night last Friday! We were lucky with the weather, and with the wonderful huge bonfire, everyone kept warm. Thank you all for coming along and joining in a great community event. Many thanks to all the very generous people who donated prizes for the raffle. ... Many thanks also to everyone who helped setting up, cooking and serving a vast quantity of food, selling tickets, and tidying up next day. Many hands do indeed make light work and lots of fun at the same time. The amount raised is not quite finalized due to some expenses to be claimed, but the profit is around $900. So a great result, thank you. We have possession of 3 items of lost property: a big dark blue umbrella, a dark red knitted beanie, a small silver torch. Please contact Progress to arrange to collect these things. Just a reminder that we will not have a Pub Night next Friday as it is so soon after the Bonfire Night.

03.01.2022 Dear Community, At the Progress Committee meeting last week, we decided that as restrictions are still in place to deal with COVID-19, and as even more restrictions could be imposed if the situation in SA gets worse, we will have to wait till 2021 to have our next Bonfire Night. Everyone loves Scott Creek Bonfires and so we hope by next winter to be able to have a really super one.... Meanwhile, although we cannot have community events, Progress is still busy making improvements to our hall. Some of the exterior wall is being repaired and re-cladded, reverse cycle air-conditioning will soon be installed, fire fighting equipment has been installed, the little trees planted last year are growing, etc. We look forward to many lovely community events as soon as possible.

01.01.2022 All welcome to drop in at the Scott Creek pub this friday!
