12.01.2022 Dear Parents and Carers The Victorian Government today announced that the circuit breaker actions that came into effect last week will end at 11.59pm on Wednesday 17 February. This means that students will return to on-site learning at school from Thursday 18 February. Thank you for supporting your children and our school staff this week. We look forward to seeing our students back at school with their friends and teachers. All staff, parents, carers and visitors to our sch...ool will be required to wear a mask when moving around the school and this includes outside when a social distance of 1.5m cannot be maintained. This is especially important when dropping children to school in the morning and collecting them in the afternoon. Our request to limit the number of people onsite will remain in place so please phone or email the school office if your query can be dealt with remotely. Arrangements in relation to assembly on Friday will be communicated tomorrow (Thursday). The wellbeing of our students is our priority and our school staff and teachers are here to support you and your family. Information that might be of assistance to you in talking to your child about COVID-19 is available: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/talking-your-child-about. If you are concerned about your wellbeing or that of your child, please contact the school so we can talk with you about how we can best assist. Other sources of support include: Parent Line 13 22 89 and Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800. The Department’s COVID-19 helpline is also available on weekdays from 8.30am to 5pm on 1800 338 663. If you know a family who speak a language or languages other than English and you know they would like further information, interpreting services are available by phoning 131 450 first. For families with a child with a disability, the Association for Children with a Disability (ACD) has additional information: https://www.acd.org.au/covid-19-latest-information/. Finally, a reminder that if you, your child, or a family member develops symptoms of COVID-19 you should get tested at a COVID-19 testing facility and stay home. Each family should regularly check the list of public exposure sites in Victoria (where a person with COVID-19 has attended), and if anyone in the family has attended a site at the times listed, follow the instructions given. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/case-locations-and-outbreaks-co Please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or the school if you have any concerns. 10.01.2022 Dear Parents and Carers, All students will return to remote learning from Monday February 15th through Wednesday, February 17th. We will have a skeleton staff onsite to supervise vulnerable children and the children of essential workers who cannot work from home or arrange alternative supervision. If you would like to request supervision for your child, please complete the documentation attached to the Compass post and return it to me by email ([email protected]). I will be in contact over the weekend if further information is required or to confirm approval of your request. We are grateful for the support you provided during our periods of remote learning in 2020 to ensure that student numbers were kept to a minimum. This meant that we could limit the number of staff onsite and ensure we all kept safe. It is important that you continue to work with us and only submit a request if there are no alternatives for you or if you are concerned for your child's wellbeing whilst learning from home. I hope the next 5 days go smoothly for you and look forward to seeing you and your children back onsite on Thursday! Patrick
