21.01.2022 We might question, if that is the 'Happy Easter" everyone anticipates? It might help to remember that happiness is an 'inside job' and we can nourish our mind by listing all the things we can be grateful for: having a safe place to stay, spending more time with loved ones at home or feeling connected with friends or family online. Finding time for creative projects which might have been stored in our drawers for ages. The symbol for Easter is the egg - a symbol for birth, a ...new beginning. So maybe this global pandemic is a chance for new beginnings. Happy Easter! See more

19.01.2022 You cant calm the storm... so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself. The storm will pass.... I was recently effected by a terrible storm myself, and it was definitely a challenge to be in the middle of it, in blank darkness without power, not knowing the extent of destruction until dawn. A good practise for trusting that also this will pass!

18.01.2022 The indigenous Australians used eucalyptus leaves to treat wounds and prevent infection. The healing benefits of Eucalyptus Oil can be attributed to its anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, decongestant, deodorant, and antiseptic qualities. We use this natural remedy to clean our mats and equipment to add to our hygiene. This will hopefully give you enough peace of mind to enjoy the benefits of a mindful yoga or pilates practice in times of such uncertainty and fear. 16.01.2022 Yoga Pilates Fusion The differences between Yoga and Pilates is that Yoga can be used for improving the flexibility of the body and will also gradually increase the flexibility of your joints. Pilates focuses on trying to relax muscles which are tense and provide strengthening of your muscles, so a good combination is ideal to find balance between strength and flexibility, to improve your posture and support your overall well being.

11.01.2022 Breathing and your brain! -An interesting Norwegian study Our brains are washed by a constant flow of cerebrospinal fluid, which plays the important role of carrying away waste substances, such as harmful proteins and excess water. The rhythm of your heart is one of the factors that affects how well this fluid flows through the brain. Now a new study shows that breathing also affects how well the spinal fluid flows. "Its not impossible that yoga breathing techniques can af...fect the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and promote the removal of brain wastes," says Vegard Vinje of the Simula Research Laboratory, where he is a PhD candidate. The study was recently published in the journal Nature Scientific Reports and is part of Vinjes doctoral thesis on the topic. https://sciencenorway.no//breathing-can-affect-the/1555270 See more

04.01.2022 Water and Spirituality Science helps us know the properties and function of water in the natural world. Ethics helps us decide how to preserve, protect, and distribute Earths water resources. Spirituality helps us identify our core convictions about the meaning and value of water. If we genuinely hold that water has intrinsic value, it will be demonstrated in how we act; our actions will express a spirituality of respect for Earths water resources.
