It wonderful that it has found a home at the National Museum of Australia. At one stage it looked like the entire collection was heading overseas. Fortunately that was vetoed. 13.01.2022 Who doesn't love a classic bridge! Well matched blue sapphires and a lively centre diamond of shall I say, pleasing proportions. At 0.70 carat, a decent size, if you will... And at almost 8 grams in weight, the ring has a very nice heft. Weighty, you can feel it on your finger. Not a cast ring, this jewel is made with love all the way through. A beautiful hand pierced, scrolling gallery with four tiny diamonds for highlights. Done! Condition: Overall condition, taking into ac...count a life well lived - very good! There is slight wear to one side of the shank where the ring has been worn alongside another ring. The sapphires do have some wear on the table facet edges, but if you do not carry a loupe, you probably will not be concerned by them in the least. So that you may have an independent opinion of this ring, we can supply a Certificate of Valuation from a Registered Valuer. Alcohol was banned, people held illegal drinking parties including Cocktail Parties where the bad taste of poor quality alcohol was improved with inventive mixers.
