21.01.2022 We all want everything yesterday. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen. What makes me sad is when people aren't seeing results as fast as they'd like so they just quit. 'Cause exercising and eating well 'doesn't work' for them. Quitting is guaranteed to get you nowhere.... Keep doing small things every day, string the days together with consistency and that's what leads to big results

13.01.2022 "The best view comes after the greatest climb..." Today I took my fitnessing to the great outdoors doing one of my all-time favourite 'happy' things - hiking! There's something so calming about being in nature The adventure was a hike up The Leap. No real walking trail - "just follow the creek" was the only direction ... With my trusty stick (to scare snakes away ) and some rare pink ribbons on trees to guide the way, we made it to the top! I'm a huge believer in doing things that make you feel alive, ground you again and make your heart happy (without sounding whooopee , you get what I mean) When you know what they are - do more of them, more often

11.01.2022 Thursday was 'R U OK?' day in Australia. I had no words at the time, yet this post of mine from a few months back on Instagram says all I wanted to say... Ask someone every day if they are OK. Start conversations, say hello to strangers, you just don't know what they are going through and your act of friendliness could mean the world to them. #ruok #bekind... ------------------------- "Tough times don't last, tough people do"... And even then, sometimes the tough runs out... Balance too many buckets which keep filling with extra stress without any reprieve and there's only so long until one of them overflows and it all comes crashing down. Remember, it's ok to not be ok all the time... It's ok to ask for help, it's ok to have to take time out, it's ok to cry. And most importantly, it's ok to talk about it! It's our self imposed belief that every day is meant to be sunshine, rainbows and lollipops which undoes us as it's an unrealistic expectation that will never be met. Stop comparing your life to others (especially on social media!) as you don't know what's going on behind anyone's highlight reel. Be kind to yourself. Take each day for what it is, ride out the waves, appreciate the good, do things to make you feel happy (like exercise!!) and surround yourself with supportive people. 10.01.2022 It's so easy to get caught up in what's next and what's ahead with what you're aiming for and planning for.. Or "I'll be happy when 'this' is done, or 'that' is finished..." Sometimes you have to stop, breathe, and remember life is happening now. This is part of the journey to get 'there'. I'm the first to admit I'm always looking to the next thing or will relax when 'this' or 'that' is done. A good quote I once read was along the lines of...... "When you die your 'in basket' won't be empty and your To Do list won't be finished." Life always keeps going so appreciate the current moment for what it is and find the good stuff and positive things in each day to be grateful for and your on-going journey will be a lot happier and more fun!! Sometimes easier said than done, but if you at least have an awareness of your thoughts that don't serve you, you can change your thought process #justbehappynow #gratitude

Sit-up + knee in Banded squat jumps Kettlebell swings Cross body plank knee tucks on med ball Do as many rounds as you can in the time you have! 01.01.2022 Training Goal = move + sweat Try this one for your next workout fix. Modify any exercises you may need to, or may not have the gear for. Or, just choose six of your fave exercises! ... 6 exercises 30 seconds of work 10 seconds transition. As many rounds as your time allows Maximum effort on the work intervals. If you work hard, you don't have to work for long. Fitness can fit anywhere (and everywhere!) into your daily life! Just make the most of the time you have - it all adds up!!

Sometimes we can find ourselves stuck in a place we don't want to be, away from our true desires and who we really want to be because of the fear of what others think... 01.01.2022 Stairs + Resistance Band Workout I love the bands for adding some resistance without lugging weights around - and with that weather who wouldn't want to train by the beach on weekends!! Great one to do with a partner as you can work in together. One runs the stairs while the other does the band workout and just keep swapping No stairs? Set a run course instead!... Stair Repeat 20 x upright rows 10 x side bends each side 20 x overhead presses 20 x alt plank toe taps 10 x bent over rows + 10 x alt rows 20 x bicep curls Aaaaand back up the stairs for 5 or so rounds! The resistance of your band will depend on how many reps to complete. Heavier = less reps Lighter = more reps or have a combo of both And remember to get photographic evidence or it didn't happen Video sped up so as to not go forever Share post to your timeline to save it for when you're looking for a workout, or save the link!
