25.01.2022 Scott Morrison's announcement in March: The Australian Government will be responsible for residential aged care facilities Reality from the Aged Care Royal Commission: There was not a COVID-19 plan devoted solely to aged care No plan. Neglect. Over 650 deaths.

25.01.2022 Aged care workers look after our loved ones, parents and grandparents. They care for our them, cook for them, entertain them, bring them joy and sometimes simply hold their hands and listen to them. Today I met with three dedicated #agedcare workers- Josie, Virginia and Sanu.... They all work long, hard and go above and beyond for their residents. Anyone who says they are unskilled workers doesn’t know how important their work is or how much they put their hearts into it. They deserve a fair go and fair pay. Thank you HSU NSW.

My broken heart every time I hear of another family who experiences the tragedy of losing their baby, be it miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death. 10.01.2022 I have sad news. My dad, John Kerscher, died yesterday. Due to border closures, we said goodbye on Zoom and we can’t go to his funeral in Ohio. Like so many families, we are apart when we want to be together. My love to all families separated now, my hope that 2021 is better. For the past year my dad battled cancer linked to his exposure to Agent Orange during his two tours of service in Vietnam. He died in a veterans hospital in Michigan. He was 77 years old. Dad taught me t...o play the game the way it was meant to be played - whether sport or politics, don’t hesitate or hang back, but rather act strongly, with conviction. He loved my mother faithfully, and he taught his children & grandchildren about faith, strength and integrity. Dad was a Republican. We rarely agreed on politics. But he performed a great feminist act- he raised me, his only daughter, just like his sons. No small feat in 1970s and 80s USA. Scott Morrison promised stranded Australians on 18 September that they’d be home for Christmas. A promise he won’t keep. The PM has a plan on his desk from his hand-picked expert to safely increase quarantine numbers to bring more stranded Aussies home sooner, but he’s done nothing.

Isla suffered a cord accident during the last day of Ashleigh's full-term pregnancy and passed away at two days old.
