22.01.2022 City of Palmerston with support from the Northern Territory Government, has announced the commencement of community consultation for a $15 million proposed revi...talisation of Palmerston’s only public swimming pool. The upgrade is part of the proposed SWELL (Swimming, Wellness, Events, Leisure, Lifestyle) master plan which will transform the Palmerston Swimming and Fitness Centre into an accessible, contemporary and family friendly water and lifestyle precinct. The exciting concept will not only include a purpose built learn to swim and wellness program pool, but an aquatic adventure play zone, the likes of which has not been seen before in the Territory. City of Palmerston will continue to provide free access the aquatic facilities for all users, ensuring the precinct is accessible to the whole community. 20.01.2022 Pre-Cyclone Clean Up Update Our first area collection is well underway! All recycling collection is to be completed this week with general waste to be complet...ed early next week. A friendly reminder to please not add any further items whilst the collection is in progress. Visited areas are being recorded therefore any items placed on the curb after 5th-6th September, may not be collected.
