25.01.2022 Very concerning that the Government aren't able to quickly respond to this question...

25.01.2022 Today is Rememberance Day, and while like this year it will be different, at 11am take a minute wherever you are and remember the bravery and sacrifice of those before us. Lest we forget

24.01.2022 The state government have released a directions paper for a new Animal Welfare Bill and is calling for public feedback. Now is our opportunity to make sure we support our way of life. We know many Animal rights organisations are rallying their supporters and we need to do the same. Read the directions paper and make a submission. Farmers, fishers, hunters, responsible animal breeders, pet owners just about everyone needs to get on board.... We need you to be our powerful voice! Follow the link and make a submission, please share with your friends. https://bit.ly/2I2yjXp

24.01.2022 UPDATE, for those wondering, the Liberals and Nationals just SUPPORTED this bill. I’ve listened to the debate on this bill, clearly those of the Liberal Nationa...l Coalition hate campers in particular. Making it abundantly clear that they also don’t care for hunters, fishers and other outdoor users, as they are trying to block them from accessing land they are currently using. I usually get that from The Greens. Having said that, there are a lot of people who have valid concerns about the legislation as they’ve been given a horror stories of what might happen by a very irresponsible Opposition. There will be regulations to compliment this legislation, the regulations will deal with issues and in some cases, will even stop camping in inappropriate spots. Anyone that feels they will be affected by these changes should get involved in the creation of the regulations. I'll post the link when its available.

23.01.2022 Game Licences and Gun Licenses for both junior and senior Victorians need to be brought into line with other recreational licenses such as those for fishing. They are similar activities, therefore the same concessions should be applied to shooters.

22.01.2022 Recently anti-duck hunting groups paid for a full page ad in one of Victoria's largest newspapers. Their latest campaign in the lead up to the 2021 season is targeting Labor MP's with their emotional dribble and misinformation. This is where you need to support the only voice for Duck Hunters in the Victorian Parliament. Sign our petition and join us to call on the government to announce a Full Duck Season with a Full Bag:... https://bit.ly/DuckSeason2021 Join us and help defend duck hunting: www.vicshootersfishersandfarmers.org.au

19.01.2022 The Government needs to make a decision With 2020 being one of the wettest years in recent memory and predictions for a wet summer, we're seeing duck numbers explode. So we're calling all hunters to join our powerful voice and sign a new e-petition calling on the State Government to announce a full bag and a full season for 2021.... We cannot afford a last minute call Regional Victoria welcomes and relies on duck hunters to bring a surge of economic activity. Delays and uncertainty will only worsen the plight of regional Victoria as we recover from the response of COVID-19 Click the link to sign the e-petition https://www.parliament.vic.gov.au//view-e-p/details/12/286

14.01.2022 The misinformation surrounding this amendment bill is so bizarre, who in their right mind will campaign against the public using public land?

12.01.2022 Yesterday we received official confirmation from the The Victorian Electoral Commission that we have been successful in our reregisteration. We want to thank each and every one of our members who responded to the VEC letter.

08.01.2022 We say goodbye to a great man who was passionate about the shooting sports.

06.01.2022 In dry years, duck season bag limits are reduced. So why arent we increasing the bag limit in wet seasons? The adaptive harvest model has the potential to allow... for bag limits above 10 in wetter than average years. When are we going to see the details of this model from the Government? By all the measures that we have ever been given to assess duck seasons, this coming season should be a #fullseason with a #fullbag. Bring on #duckseason2021 #springst #duckhunting

03.01.2022 For years rainfall has been a big factor in the decisions into the coming years duck season. While we have had to endure a drought we're now seeing an explosion of duck numbers across eastern Australia. In recent times Governments have defended themselves with science, facts and numbers. There should be no excuse for those numbers now to not be a full bag and a full length season and the well established facts and science saying our well regulated recreational hunting season has no impact on populations.

02.01.2022 Today in Parliament the Council is debating the PARKS AND CROWN LAND LEGISLATION AMENDMENT BILL 2019. This amendment is a simple change that only affects licensed land river frontage and further regulation will protect access to leased and private property. We're surprised the "party for regional Victoria" wants to lock out Victorians from crown land and their misinformation surrounding this bill is frankly disappointing. Considering the expansion of National Parks under the watch of the increasing green-like NSW liberal/national government it looks like we're the only party truly protecting public access to public land.
