16.01.2022 Time spent with friends at the beach is just so special...and with the weather warming up, time to think about spoiling that special someone for Christmas...the original photo that formed the basis of this piece has been included for comparison.

15.01.2022 Kate Moore is a graphic designer who has created beautiful original art using the personal photos of her customers. Kate began by playing around with Photoshop ...and finding ways to combine images in a creative way to produce the stunning portraits that she showed me when I visited her recently. These striking images certainly tell stories as the Shadowline Studio by Kate Moore card says "Personalised artwork that tells YOUR story". The collected images for a family history were particularly interesting to me, showing four generations of a family in Ballarat. I could see how these artworks could become incredible heirlooms in a family. Another impressive piece was the collective picture of 16 grandchildren in one photo that came from individual photos of each child! The artwork brings together things that people love, so rather than just a photo of the family, they incorporate images that relate to the story like favourite holiday spots, landmarks, family homes, special occasions or other meaningful images. They are perfect for celebrating a special occasion like a significant birthday, the birth of a child or a wedding for example. Kate spends time with her customers learning about the stories they want to show so that she can inject those heartfelt words into a gift that is truly personal. Kate has also produced art for cafes, restaurants, wineries and other businesses often depicting the history of an area or images that relate to the type of business. 05.01.2022 I have never experienced the feeling of not being entirely sure how to approach a piece of personalised art before, but I must admit this one got me thinking...for weeks I tossed and turned over how to incorporate 16 grandchildren from a gorgeous collection of over 100 individual or small group shots into the one image without it looking too crowded. 03.01.2022 It is always lovely to receive feedback from customers...this one arrived today: '...I was very excited to discover the Shadowline Studio website as it was my husband's 40th birthday coming up and I wanted to organise something extra special for him. From the moment I made first contact with Kate, she was amazing. It was a fast approaching deadline but Kate went above and beyond to get things organised in time. I sent through lots of photos with an idea of what I was looking for...her first draft was perfect! The only thing we played around was with colours, I didn't want anything changed with the artwork as I was so happy with it.
