24.01.2022 Are you kicking goals with your sheep flock? Do you think there is room for improvement in your flock reproductive performance? If so, keep reading! I'm taking Expressions of Interest for Lifetime Ewe Management groups at present, to kick off at weaning time. Ideally around 6 participants, like minded, and located reasonably close together. If you have not completed a LTEM course, then now would be a good time to start one. Contact me to find out more and register your inte...rest. 17.01.2022 The nation might be forced to a halt. We as farmers can't stop. And we don't want to stop. This is a big year for opportunity for sheep farmers and its up to each of us to take advantage of it. Learn how and what this means for you as you make your own unique game plan.

16.01.2022 Good advice here from RaynerAg - whilst it seems like common sense, sometimes we tend to disregard our own well-being during a heatwave, so plan some early starts, and rest during the hotter part of the day. All will benefit from this!

16.01.2022 Take a look at our latest TV commercial on Prime7

07.01.2022 With certain export markets playing silly buggers, it is a timely reminder to ensure your chemical use practices are beyond reproach for ALL commodities. MRLs... can come from products directly applied, from feed, from spray drift & from equipment (augers, sprayers, trucks, silos, etc). When it comes to MRLs from spray drift, export markets lock out the entire industry, not just the bloke who got the drift. Read the label, check harvest, grazing & sale WHP, & especially Export Intervals & Trade Advice. Don't give them any excuse to persecute Australian Ag. If you are having trouble understanding label requirements, contact your reseller, state regulator or myself. #getmydrift

06.01.2022 Ram selling/buying season - prepare early! I always find ram sale season exciting - and love a good look through a catalogue - I get that its not for everyone though! Ram buying should be a process, not only an event - granted, the event is the fun part, however attending the ram sale with a plan will make the process successful, and allow you more time to chat to others at the sale, and get a team of rams that suit your business needs. Some of the key points to do ahead of... going to a sale are: - what is your breeding objective? (do you have one?) - how many rams do you need? (go through your ram team and decide who's going around again and who's not) - what's your budget? (this may need to consider some flexibility if market conditions require) - what's in the catalogue/offering - what information is presented, and how can you use this to make your selections? If you need any assistance with any of these points, get in touch with me and we can arrange a consultation, either in person, or over the phone, or a zoom meeting to discuss your needs. These consultations are tailored to individual needs, and are a cost effective way to refine your ram selection process, and use their genetics to drive your business forward.
