09.01.2022 #rateyourbackyard Do you know how many tourism attractions and visitor experiences there are in Kentish? The Sheffield Visitor Information Centre is launching a... new campaign calling for locals to Rate Their Backyard. Kentish Mayor Tim Wilson said, Kentish is the most beautiful place in Tasmania. We have a wealth of stunning natural landscapes, iconic murals, and a thriving cultural and dining scene. Now is the time to support our locals and promote Kentish to the rest of Tasmania. For many families, the upcoming school holidays may be a chance to have a much-needed break. With interstate borders closed for some time to come, families will spend their school holidays exploring their own ‘backyards’, seeing places in their home state and connecting to their own local culture. I encourage the Kentish community to send a photo or story of their favourite activity, café, mountain bike trail or walking track to SVIC and #rateyourbackyard, said Mayor Wilson. There has never been a better time for Tasmanian’s to see their own backyard. Photos would be shared across Council’s social media to promote Kentish tourism destinations, accommodation, and attractions across Tasmania. Photos can be submitted to [email protected]. To find your experience in Kentish visit SVIC at Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Sheffield-Visitor-Information-Centre-103998848068924, Instagram https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/sheffieldtasmania/ or website www.sheffieldtasmania.tas.gov.au.
