This play provides them with an opportunity to explore new materials, act out scenarios from real life, build language, practice social skills, and gain an understanding of the world.

13.01.2022 A beautiful observation! LEGO is so much fun when it’s cold and rainy outside. I love listening to the wonderful conversations as they explain what they are building or searching for a particular piece. I am often amazed as to how they understand each other . I love being part of something so beautiful as each child creates, helps their peer and uses their imagination. Developing their social skills, hand eye coordination is just some of the benefits of LEGO building. Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators.

12.01.2022 Today we are enjoying the warm sunshine and a special visit from Roger the Rabbit. The children have enjoyed the new sandpit & it is more fun when Luke makes different types of sandcastles for our imaginative play. Roger the rabbit is gentle and loves a pat. The children have had the opportunity to feed Roger some carrot and apple. Throughout the morning they have watched him nibble away at his treats. A fun way to start our day!

11.01.2022 Moments like these make Family Day Care so unique and the most rewarding job in the world. Bodhi has been practising his walking whilst been away and today he showed us what he has achieved! My favourite part is his celebration at the end!

11.01.2022 Pablo Picasso. Every child is an artist. Open-ended art allows the children to do free art and make independent choices on what materials to use and the outcome of the work. Open-ended art is focused on individual expression rather than on the final product.

10.01.2022 It's R U OK?Day, a reminder that every day is a day to start a conversation that could change a life. Today we're calling on Australians to learn what to say af...ter R U OK? so they can keep the conversation going when someone says they're not OK. There's more to say after R U OK? Learn what to say when listening with an open mind Learn what to say when encouraging action Learn what to say when checking in Learn how to continue a conversation that could change a life. When we know what to say next we can help someone open up and find pathways to support long before they're in crisis. Learn what to say next and help us move closer to our vision of a world where we're all connected and are protected from suicide. Head to www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask
