09.01.2022 Faces tell the story of our lives. We wear our experiences in our eyes, mouth, skin, expression. I love representing this in graphite; older faces have depth and character that talk of days in the summer sun and the winds of winter, worries and joys, smiles and tears. I love portraits. 02.01.2022 The humble pencil is a master of multi-tasking; transforming on paper into strands of hair, the soft folds of fabric, and subtle freckles, creases or curves on skin. Detail of Destiny, 2015.
