25.01.2022 Burst Remover Update #2: These new burst (aka miracle) removers continue to be a huge problem. Make NO MISTAKE- this is NOT one of those silly issues where a t...iny traces of toxic substances are found in a few products, but pose no real health risk. Quite the contrary! All four of the four products tested so far all contained very high concentrations, exceeding 80%, of this known and prohibited carcinogen. Methylene chloride is specifically singled out and banned from cosmetics due to its high toxicity. Methylene chloride can be toxic by inhalation AND by skin absorption. DO NOT USE THESE PRODUCTS! I recommend that you return them and demand a full refund. These bursts removers are being sold under many dozens of brand names by re-sellers who have been lied to about the ingredients and didnt verify the ingredients. Methylene Chloride is NOT even permitted in China, so the original manufacturers of this are lying on their export/import forms and providing fake ingredients list and false Safety Data Sheets. Dont be fooled. These products are now being made by other manufacturers in other countries greedy fools who have jumped on this money-making bandwagon. If they are making these products, they KNOW the ingredients are banned. That is why I am calling for an intentional investigation to root out these bad actors and give them their just rewards. BTW: These products also contain methanol in high enough concentrations that it could blind a small child if accidentally ingested- which is why methanol is also prohibited in cosmetics. In short, ANY rapid Burst type remover that appear to quickly bubble up nail polish and remove UV gels in the time- is likely to contain these dangerous substance. Dont use them and warn your friends. Dont be fooled. Im calling on ALL of the cosmetic association world-wide to step up to the plate and do something quickly to stop the flow of these dangerous products. You can help! Contact your association and ask them to defend the cosmetic industry against this threat. Contact sellers and let them know you dont appreciate them selling these products. We need to send a strong message to those who would be tempted to repeat this type of egregious action. PLEASE Share this widely. We can't let bad actors in the nail industry ruin it for everyone else just because they are greedy and stupid. We have to defend ourselves against these types of threats.

21.01.2022 Some tell me they are constantly washing their hands, some every 30 minutes, but they haven't left their home. I don't agree with that. Yes, wash your hands of...ten, but not constantly. You can damage the skin by excessive washing and over use of hand sanitizers. These need to be used with "purpose", not to satisfy irrational paranoia. Wash between clients, for certain. You should do that anyway. Right? For instance, if you've been watching TV for an hour, no need to get up and wash your hands again. We wash our hands to remove potentially infectious agents. If you haven't a left your sofa for a hour, its pretty unlikely that you've now got to wash off any viruses. Right? Be smart, be safe... don't panic and don't worry. This will pass, they always do.

I think after this amount of time I’m proof that acrylic does not ruin your nails it’s the way the are applied or the way they are removed, I have never used an E-file / drill on my nail plate there is no need , I have never used an E-file / drill or cut the skin fold that most have mistaken for cuticle again there is no need just use a nail oil ladies choose your nail techs wisely your natural nail health is important there are some amazing techs out there that are really well trained & can help you achieve your nail goals

08.01.2022 Dr. Oz is just another Fake Expert on TV Lots of those have you noticed? Real experts need not apply to his show if they disagree with Oz. On his Monday show,... Oz checks in with Oz Show Investigator Tia Brown, who appears to be a hired puppet repeating Ozs misguided beliefs. Neither of them know anything about the science of nail polish or ingredients- but lack of knowledge never stopped the Oz before! He cluelessly parrots the same old silly Internet nonsense about the so-called Toxic Trio. Brown foolishly claims formaldehyde is in just about all the nail polishes- which is an UTTERLY ridiculous, false and irresponsible reporting. She is NOT informed about the facts, which likely explains why Oz says such crazy things. With Investigators like this, you dont need the facts. Heck no, just invent the new facts a pretend to know what youre taking about... and then you can con people of out money. When Tia falsely stated that formaldehyde prevents chipping in nail products, I could tell she CLEARLY doesnt understand any of this and likely did her "research" reading some goofy Internet blogs. Her statement is blatantly false. Formaldehyde is a "gas" that is NOT added to nail polish and never has been. Her claim is utterly ridiculous and baseless. Also, dibutyl phthalate was NOT banned from nail polish because it was dangerous for that use. This was also false. Notice she very quietly added under her breathe the words by ingestion, but didnt say anything about this- because she's a trickster like her boss. The only possible way you can be harmed by dibutyl phthalate in nail polish is by ingesting five or six full bottles of nail polish and you "might" exceed the safe "daily" ingestion levels for this substance.Unless you ingest large amounts of nail polish for extended periods- there is NO risk! Tricky Dr. Oz, can't be trusted to tell the truth. They WANT to scare everyone needlessly. It's the Oz Show business model. He WANTS TO SCARE YOU AND YOUR CLIENTS for his own profit. just like he scares people into doing other things. Hes all about exaggerating fears by distorting the facts and cashing in with a phony smile. Hey Dr Oz, has there been an uptick in the number nail-polish related illness? Are Doctors and Emergency Rooms seeing more victims of nail polish poisoning? Are other Doctors concerned there could be a nail polish sickness epidemic? NO? Ok, then whats your real concern? Run out of relevant topics? Why do you keep beating down the nail business? What gives? Clearly you don't care that you harm salon workers around the world with you tricks and deceptions, needlessly frightening their clients. Shame on you! We know you are all about ratings and making money, not about helping anyone else. That makes you a selfish Charlatan and a Con in my view and Oprah's biggest mistake.

06.01.2022 This lovely lady came in today with concerns for her natural nail health, she had every right to be concerned marked out on the pic are a few things that might not look like much but lead to bigger problems, most techs these days are using drill files to prep here’s the problem : The skin they are removing from the back is NOT cuticle it’s a skin fold the more they cut & drill it the harder it grows trying to protect itself,this also opens the body up to infection & overexpos...ure to product. The redness is caused from overfilling we have about 100 layers of nail a drill simply removes too many layers of nail causing the nail to become thin & red this also happens when you remove ANY product by force so stop ripping your nails off because YOU are then part of the problem The sidewalls are missing again excessive filling & over shaping. Rehab for these nails will take about 6 months today we started with a new French acrylic set Sculptured of course no tips & glue less chance of them ripping off & thinning out the nail even more Short & square keeps those sidewalls tucked away so they can recover,Short!! Again less chance of them catching & ripping off!! Oil !!!! I can’t say this enough oil your nails every day !!!!!! Keeps the skin fold in good condition & helps the acrylic stay flexible & keeps it in good condition longer why spend $$$ on something & not look after it ??
