23.01.2022 ARE YOU PLANNING TO TRAVEL TO TASMANIA? Tasmania is moving to a new online registration system for everyone wanting to enter the State. The G2G PASS replaces th...e current process and applies to everyone, including returning Tasmanian residents and Essential Travellers visiting for work or for compassionate or medical reasons. Upon registration and approval you will receive a QR code that is now required to enter the State. Approved travellers will also be advised of specific conditions that apply to them. Remember other quarantine and travel restrictions remain in place. Those who currently have Essential Traveller status will need to reapply through G2G PASS. 04.01.2022 Update: A large number of roads remain closed due to snow and hazardous conditions. Midland Hwy from Tunbridge to Melton Mowbray and Vinces Saddle on the Huon... Hwy are now open - but drive with extreme caution. If you're driving in an area affected by snow and ice - check the Tasmania Police website Community Alerts prior to driving - https://www.police.tas.gov.au/community-alerts/ Slow down and be alert for ice and slippery road conditions Never drive on icy or snowy roads Always obey road closure signs which are put in place for motorist safety Put headlights on if visibility is reduced Leave plenty of space between you and the vehicle in front of you.

02.01.2022 STATE GROWTH: Start of investigation works on Midland Hwy - Kings Meadows to Prospect RoadsTas advises that survey and investigation works on the Midland Hwy, ...between the Kings Meadows and Prospect interchanges, will start Tuesday (June 9) and are expected to be completed by late June to early July, weather permitting. Work will be carried out between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm Monday to Friday. Traffic changes, including a reduced speed limit, will be in place to ensure the safety of workers on the road and in the road reserve. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times. The survey and investigation works will inform the prioritisation of maintenance works required to improve the condition of sections of the road surface. State Growth says the completed project will result in improvements for all road users, and asks that motorists obey all speed limit reductions and safety signage during the works period. Doors will be locked for entry at 6.10pm. - Attendance registers have been received, if you are not on the teams attendance list, you will not be able to watch tonight's games. No tickets at the gate. - Presentations for the 6pm grand finals will be done immediately after the game for premiership teams and Player of the Final. - Presentations for the 7.30pm grand finals will be done immediately after the game for premiership teams and Play of the Final. - All other presentations will be done on Thursday 5th November at the NTNA Awards Night. - Please remember the 1.5 metre social distance rule when watching the games.
