24.01.2022 Message from Mellita, the author Not to give up and don't accept the circumstances. Work everyday towards a goal , even if it gets put on hold.... This book took from 2016 to get here. I had no family support, no money and no partner. Thank you for your support.! We are proud to promote this book. https://www.mybodyyourbody.com/

23.01.2022 The winner is........

22.01.2022 A dark day, as the coronaviurs supplment reduces to $300. We often got asked as to why we don`t lobby for the retention of the PPS. We always had, and always will. This is a flash back to 2014.

21.01.2022 NCSMC will be pushing this through social media over the weekend. Our submission to the inquiry on the supplement completed and send. We were asked what tag lines we should use.. Let us know what you would use.... Women and children pay a high cost for COVID... No to a dark grim Christmas Restore the $550, it brought hope and safety $550 filled the shopping trolley $550 kept the kids pets $550 put food on the table $550 put the car on the road https://www.theguardian.com//single-parents-are-poorer-but

21.01.2022 The Supplement was cut by $300 p/f. It hurt our soul, our lives, our future & our children. How will you manage the cuts? Post a Pic, write, a statement. You can upload yourself or send a PM. Lets make our voice heard. Together we are strong https://www.facebook.com/300Cry Council of Single Mothers and their Children Inc. - CSMC Hobart Branch of National Council of Single Mothers and their Children United Sole Parents of Australia

19.01.2022 "National Council of Single Mothers and their Children's Terese Edwards urged the government to return to the initial $550 increase to the dole. Ms Edwards said cuts to that rate meant homelessness, skipping meals and no cooling in summer for single mums. "I'm deeply concerned about the increase of suicide, homelessness and domestic violence," she said. "Christmas is already a frightening time for too many. Add a pandemic, throw in the cuts to income and we have a tsunami of ...horror ahead of us." We would like to thank Angela who spoke to the lived hardship and is providing a statement to the Committee We are trying hard. https://www.canberratimes.com.au//experts-cast-doubt-on-/

17.01.2022 Thank you Pauline Hutton for speaking out. Love and care to you and your family. Sadly, your voice echos the circumstances for tens of thousands of single mothers.

16.01.2022 If you're facing financial hardship due to COVID-19, your energy and water providers have certain obligations to make sure you are safe. If you can't afford you...r bills, you have a right to ask your provider for a payment plan. Your energy and water providers can't cut you off without your approval. If you think your providers have treated you unfairly, our resource explains how to challenge their decision: https://justiceconnect.org.au//responding-to-debt-collect/

13.01.2022 Sunday love To all the mums that are putting their brave and best foot forward. You are the wonder of your children’s lives

11.01.2022 "COVID-19 has left women, more than men, economically disadvantaged through unemployment, underemployment, lowered incomes, less secure work, greater household and family demands, and increased risk of domestic violence" https://womensagenda.com.au//each-budget-used-to-have-a-g/

10.01.2022 Thanks for your voice, we heard you roar

08.01.2022 This is NOT OKAY! NCSMC is steaming over this headline! We feel incredibly sorry for the mother who was asked to be interviewed along with a picture. NCSMC is contacting the Journalist and asking for a change of headline (online - but the damage has been done) and will be contacting the BSL (why would they even put that quote in the report - it would always get the headline). We will include your statement in our response to the BSL. https://www.smh.com.au//fewer-single-mums-are-skipping-mea

08.01.2022 ABC News Radio. Do you live in a region, on Jobseeker and about to loose the supplement and willing to talk on radio? Let us know and we will connect you to the journalist.

02.01.2022 NCSMC standing proud and giving evidence at 2.30pm EST, to the Inquiry into family, domestic and sexual violence. Evidence will be enriched as it includes two women who can speak directly on lived reality as well as the leader from CSMC, Jenny Davidson. To listen click on the link https://www.aph.gov.au/live

02.01.2022 The most up to date information on job network, Parentsnext and DES. The journey is way too punitive and unnecessary cruel.

01.01.2022 Hiya beautiful mums, on Thursday NCSMC gave evidence before an Inquiry. Our voice was strengthened by a couple of amazing mums. We know what’s it’s like to lose and find your voice.
