24.01.2022 WARNING: Discussion of the death of an Aboriginal elder For those who haven't heard yet, I just wanted to share the news that the public funeral for Uncle Sam W...atson will be held this Friday, 6 December in Musgrave Park at 11am. Everyone is welcome to attend and pay their respects. Please note that my ward office will be closed this Friday from roughly 10:30am until after lunch. I'm also pleased to be able to confirm that many of the city's bridges and major landmarks will be lit up red, black and yellow (the colours of the Aboriginal flag) as a mark of respect to this great man.

09.01.2022 It's with great sadness that Songlines Choir says good bye to one of its Patrons, S.W., who passed away last night. S.W. inspired us all with his tireless work for Aboriginal rights and social justice and the way he embraced all Australians on that journey. Thank you, we will think of you whenever we sing together.

Some experience with community groups would be an advantage but otherwise the only criteria are a love for singing and a passion for advocating for reconciliation with indigenous Australians, social justice issues and care for our environment.
