21.01.2022 A big thank you to everyone who helped make our Charity Day on the 29th August a great success. We raised $824.05 for the Little Heroes Foundation through entry fees, donations, raffles, auction toss, guessing game and food sales. Everyone enjoyed a fantastic day. A special thank you also to Jeanne Murray who was the games organiser for the day and who was the inspiration behind our Charity Day events.
21.01.2022 Our club had a good AGM this year and it was followed by a lovely lunch in the club room which everyone enjoyed. A big THANK YOU to everyone who hopped in and helped prepare and serve meals, serve tea/coffee, wash dishes and clean up afterwards. A great team effort by the Committee and all members combined.

13.01.2022 Christmas is coming!! Please make sure you indicate your attendance on the list in the club room if you plan to attend our Christmas Party this year. We have a great entertainer coming - Linda McCarthy - and we will have lots of fun. Again this year we will have our Kris Kringle (or Secret Santa) where you pull the name from the hat and you will then need to bring a gift for that person. There is also a list on the table for you to indicate if you do or do not wish to take part in the Kris Kringle fun.

09.01.2022 39 members enjoyed a fun day at our Melbourne Cup Lunch this year. A special thank you to everyone who helped organise the day and to Jenny, Karen, Cheryl, Jay and Bruce for organising the lunch and the sweeps. Also a big thank you to Alida for making those delicious apple turnovers for dessert. More fun was had with puzzles provided by Pam and again with the Pin the Tail on the horse game run by Karen. We think a couple of the guys thought they were pinning the tail on the donkey!!
08.01.2022 Stay safe and keep up the hygiene and social distancing everyone.
08.01.2022 Please note that as from December 1st we are now required to use a QR code to check in or to sign in on the attendance form.https://youtu.be/teTr6ZZFIWU

A big thank you to all those members who have already donated prizes for the raffles. COME AND JOIN THE FUN.
06.01.2022 An Adelaide community choir ("Vocalize Choir") has made this great video during the COVID-19 shutdown. The choir is made up of all ages and this video is testament to how this group has found a way to still make beautiful music together. I thought it was worth sharing here.
06.01.2022 Our hearts go out to all those who have been affected by the terrible bushfires that are ravaging our country at the moment. It was agreed unanimously by members on Monday that our Club donation towards those in need will go to the Kangaroo Island Mayoral Bushfire Relief and Recovery Fund. It has also been decided that this appeal will be open at our club until next Monday (13th January) to give members who wish to donate a little more time to give their donations to Joan. Should you not be able to get to the club by Monday and wish to donate personally to the KI Bushfire fund, please see direct deposit details attached to this post. A big thank you to everyone who has already made such generous donations to this fund through our club.
06.01.2022 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to two of our teams who were placed 2nd and 3rd in the finals of the Associated Seniors Indoor Bias Bowls Tournament today. Dee Dee (our Mascot) brings home the cup for 2nd place...well done Terry, Bruce, Marcia and Robert for bringing this cup home to be displayed in our club room for the year. Well done to John, Stan, Peggy and Shaun for coming in 3rd and to Clive, Chris, Jenny and Jean for reaching the finals as well. Our 4th team missed out on the finals this year, but there is always next year!!
05.01.2022 We enjoyed a fantastic day on Tuesday. Kym, from Victor Tours, took us on a lovely trip via Stathalbyn, to the Coorong. The first stop at Strath was to view the fabulous motorbike and rider constructed with all sorts of scrap metals...have a closer look by zooming up on the pic! We then stopped at the Visitors Centre for morning tea before continuing to Goolwa for our fabulous lunch cruise. There was lots of excitement to see a number of seals close up as we went through the... lock. It was also great to see such a variety of bird life...swans, cormorants, terns, ducks, swans, seagulls, pelicans, to name just a few. The scenery was beautiful, lunch was delicious, the commentary extremely informative and there was lots of laughter and fun. Thanks to Victor Tours and Coorong Cruises for a wonderful day taking us close to nature. Here are just a few pics. See more

04.01.2022 Here is a link to Linda McCarthys fabulous online Mothers Day show. It is about 1.5 hours long but well worth setting aside the time to watch and join in the fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwuedDCaZ7Y
03.01.2022 We also have a Christmas Mystery Tour this year - Tuesday 17th December. A list is also in the club room for you to indicate your attendance. Dont miss out - it should be fun.
03.01.2022 Another great Mystery Trip thanks to Victor Tours once again. The mystery began to unravel with morning tea at a lovely little park in Hahndorf. Thanks Kym and Adona for the lovely mince pies!! Following morning tea we travelled to the Elder Park for a trip on Popeye which was enjoyed by everyone. It was then back to Hahndorf for a lovely lunch at the Old Mill. On the way home we counted the roadside Santas! Well I think we all arrived at a different number but there were quite alot including a headless Santa and one that had met with an accident along the roadside - looks like he had crashed into a tree. Thank you Victor tours for another fun day.
