22.01.2022 Hi all. After a long period of inactivity, I am testing the waters around starting a monthly group ride. The challenge with such a beast is trying to decide on a format that suits all abilities and levels of motivation. I propose that we try and have our first one either on Sunday, July 17, the middle weekend of the holidays, or on the following Sunday, July 24, the last Sunday of the school holidays. It would be great if interested people could respond regarding these 2 pote...ntial dates. Second thing to consider is the timing and format. I am going to suggest that there is an earlier start option for those wanting more of a training hit out, say 9am, as the mornings are still a little low light. The bunch ride would then start at 10am and go for a further hour. This would be the no drop section of the ride with a focus on controlled safe bunch riding. Then, of course, the obligatory refuelling at the caf ;) The first ride location is Beachport and I propose to ride Scenic Drive loops. Please feed back any responses to these ideas. I can modify and customise if people have suggestions or concerns. Cheers, Bretto

21.01.2022 The South Eastern Windbreakers will be having their Christmas ride this Saturday (Christmas Eve) leaving the skatepark at 6.30am. Looking at doing the Burr, Mile Hill, Tant and then home along the frontage. Be great to get a few out for a casual roll. DG and JR are on board (or in the saddle). 20.01.2022 So its nearly 100 Mile time again and, as usual we are calling for volunteer corner and sprint marshalls for Millicent. There is no traffic control involved as this is done by SAPOL. Our job is to direct the riders around the corners and keep them going at full gas! This year we have the prospect of a dedicated womens race, thus our duties would begin half an hour earlier. I will confirm when I know more. The date is Saturday, May 27 (end of week 4 of term 2). Starting at about 11 am and going through to approx. 1pm or when the last bunch comes through. Arrangements for Saturday are to meet at the Millicent Medical Clinic at 10.30 for a quick briefing, collection of equipment and then off to our stations. First riders through at approx 11.20. 17.01.2022 At 5 pm I will be leaving the skater and riding toward Beachport to find the leader of the indipac race, Kristof. I will then turn and follow to give him support into Millicent. Anyone else interested? I couldnt let these brilliant riders pass through without so much as a yeeha!!

17.01.2022 Tomorrow at 0600 we are having a Xmas ride from the skate park. Hit and giggle type of affair. Xmas bling is essential.

16.01.2022 OK so the weather is looking good for our Monthly Sunday morning roll at Beachport - this Sunday July 17th. This is a friendly no drop ride with an emphasis on easy spinning (E1 zone - max 135bpm) to facilitate that easy and lively conversation we all love. Meet at the Jetty at 8.45 for a 9.00 roll away. We will do loops of the triathlon circuit for an hour or so and then retire to the caf. Mountain or road style bikes would be appropriate for this ride. Please help spread the word and I hope to see you there :)

13.01.2022 100 MILE CLASSIC HELP NEEDED!! This year, the event is being held on Saturday June 25th which is 4 weeks away. In the past we have provided 3 sets of corner marshalls and a finish judge at the Short St. sprint. The commitment is from mid morning (about 10.30) until noon. We then usually retire to McCourts Caf for recharging! Thanks to all that have helped in the past, and now is your opportunity to put your hand up for this year!
