03.01.2022 Latrobe Valley's Young Clay Target Shooting Star This week in state parliament I was thrilled to deliver my Members Statement on Lucas Furlan - a remarkable ...young Latrobe Valley student/athlete attending Lavalla Catholic College. Lucas Furlan is a name to remember as he continues to blaze a trail in Clay Target Shooting. Lucas achievements are simply remarkable considering he has only took up the sport 18 months ago. During this time, Lucas won the junior boys state championship representing his secondary school Lavalla Catholic College. More recently he scored a 1st in A Grade Champion of Champions scoring an incredible 121/125. Lucas is a member of the Gippsland Sports Academy and is training hard for the 2021 National Shooting Championships and State Championships. Achieving so much so quickly, it's hard to fathom that Lucas is so young. I know his parents Walter and Jo and siblings Alyssa and Jake are immensely proud of achievements and I, and my Nationals colleagues wish Lucas all the future success. I look forward to visiting the Morwell Gun Club to watch Lucas in action.

03.01.2022 Congratulations to the Gippstar Special Achiever - Graham Laird
