24.01.2022 Have been stuck for getting out much this year but am trying hard to get a bit of training in. Milly worked like a Trojan in the thickest of Blackberry bushes to flush 3 rabbits out near Orange and Bathurst. Looked around for her and there she was standing in the 3 degree Dam cooling off and wouldn't come out she loved it so much. Poor girl was as stiff as a board for 3 days and two weeks later, we are still picking the thorns out and tending the cuts and scratches but can you stop her......nah ! Ruby decided it was too tough for her so thought the retrieve in the open paddock would be a bit easier. Until she found the rabbit was about the same size and weight as her. First dead game rabbit retrieve though and she did it well. Diamond was just chilling as she usually does :-)

24.01.2022 Got away Training and a bit of hunting last weekend and pleased to say there were lots of Bunnies and a few Charlies floating about. Accounted for 5 Bunnies and 2 Foxes including this big Dog Fox. Blew the whistle and magically all three dogs stopped in a line and also found these two little Woody Ducklings keeping deathly quiet hoping I wouldn't notice them. Nice weekend away and 5 wet and muddy ESS's our 3 and Steve Austins 2. His new Pup Katie and Tommy our Pups Dad.

18.01.2022 Well, the NSW Trials are cancelled, the SA National Championship is cancelled and working the Spaniels over Partridge and Pheasant down in Bendigo with like minded Spaniel owners from SA is also cancelled so out of the car you lot and have a 'Smacko' as a consolation prize.....whats that, your not moving until next year ?

18.01.2022 Steve has just started training Joe for conservation work so these first days are just see how he trains. It is important that the early days of training are very short and positive sessions and are very constructive for the puppy.

17.01.2022 We were playing hide and seek earlier in the week and it was spot the third one hiding :-)

16.01.2022 A Covid 19 Update.

10.01.2022 Talk about a Tough life. Look at these three ! First they get a nice walk and then fed, then they play about for a bit. Then a Roo Tail as a treat (Yes they kno...w the T.R.E.A.T word)and now look at them ! Milly is sunning herself in the Garden, Diamond is demanding a Tummy Tickle and Ruby picked up her own Pillow and took it to her bed...or one of many depending on which bed is flavour of the month, God its a tough life :-) See more

10.01.2022 (You will need sound to watch this Spaniel water challenge.) As usual, Milly does not want to get out of the water until she absolutely has to. The 100-guinea land challenge to come soon.

09.01.2022 (For best effect, you will need sound to watch this.) Here's the practice run for the 100-guinea challenge coming soon on our page. So watch this space.

09.01.2022 With Captain America doing some Tactical Pig Bashing followed by Practicing some close quarter combat. Wonder if this will take off ?

05.01.2022 A moment to remember and reflect today on Anzac Day. Thank you to all those that served and gave us our Freedom. "Lest We Forget".

01.01.2022 8 months on from the Drought and Fires and look at this place. Out from Bathurst along the Bridle Track. Jan and now Aug 2020. River in full flow when in January there were just a few pools of stagnant water left. Can't keep the dogs out of the water even in the middle of winter. Isn't nature wonderful and it always comes back full circle.

01.01.2022 No vacation yet but a cropped picture works

01.01.2022 With all the conspiracy theories going on at the moment, I thought I would add this one. Up for debate but I think I believe George :-)
