22.01.2022 R U OK DAY Tomorrow we are asking the question 'R U OK?' Students are invited to wear YELLOW for a gold coin donation to raise vital funds for the 'R U OK' Day Foundation. Students in Year 7 to 9 will be undertaking a lesson through Pastoral Care to discover how to ask a friend 'R U OK'.... Activities will also be held during lunch times for all students.

16.01.2022 The AFX for 2020 was broken down into 5 localised activities within the North Queensland Brigade, to implement COVID-19 control measures. 131ACU Sarina attended the 80BN AFX held at Rowallan Park, Mackay, with 122ACU Mackay and 145ACU Moranbah.

10.01.2022 YEAR 12 FORMAL UPDATE Due to ongoing COVID restrictions, we have been required to make some changes to the Year 12 Formal. Our previous venue is unable to facilitate the number of guests under their COVID plan, therefore to cater for their needs of the Formal, we have been required to book a new venue which has also resulted in the need for a date change also.... The 2020 Year 12 Formal will now take place at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre on THURSDAY 19 NOVEMBER, 2020. The school will continue to keep you informed when further information is available.

04.01.2022 On the last weekend in August, Ky Barker, Brock Raward and Abby Steinhardt represented the school in the Middle Schools State Honours Ensemble Program in Mackay with other advanced students from Central Queensland. They rehearsed with Griffith University Conservatorium staff for over 10 hours to produce a culminating concert of outstanding music. We are so very proud of our Instrumental Music students at Sarina High and the way that they represent our school with pride. Schools will be closed on these days. For some regional, rural and remote schools that finish the school year earlier, the student free days will be Thursday 3 and Friday 4 December.
