25.01.2022 Our Grade 1/2 students have definitely been making the most of Lockdown 2.0 and have spent time enjoying our local environment, the great outdoors and football!



25.01.2022 Today we remember all the special men who play a significant role in our lives. We might not be able to celebrate the usual way this year but we can still give them a shout out & let them know how much we love them!

25.01.2022 Our P-2 students had another fantastic outdoor learning session at the rock pools today. Lots of exploring, creating, discovering and appreciation for the local environment. As this was our final session together, we celebrated with a hot chip picnic on the beach. A HUGE shout out to the staff at Ocean View Kiosk for making this a possibility. The chips were delicious and we will all be back!

22.01.2022 We are continuing to focus on the Alannah & Madeline Foundation eSmart Week. Our students are exploring online safety and their digital footprint.



21.01.2022 Today is Indigenous Literacy Day which we usually celebrate when we are at school. We look forward to tuning in at 12:30pm to hear more from The Indigenous-Literacy Foundation

20.01.2022 Congratulations to our graduating Grade 6 students! This week they joined together for a mass to celebrate the end of their primary school journey. The P-5 students joined them on the oval to watch the presentation of certificates. The Gr 6 students shared a lovely meal together. They finished their day with a staff vs students game of dodgeball. We wish you all the very best as you head off on your secondary school journey.

20.01.2022 Crazy Hair Day was just one of the many things happening at St A's today. This initiative raises much needed funds for Cystic Fibrosis Australia. We managed to get some photos of these amazing hair styles as the children were coming into school this morning!

19.01.2022 Yesterday our Grade 4 students participated in leadership program in preparation for becoming Prep Buddies. We had an extremely productive afternoon with lots of discussions about how we can support the prep students this year. The Grade 4 students are going to be amazing leaders!

17.01.2022 This week our Prep students have shared their lockdown highlights - looks like there has been lots of adventures!

17.01.2022 On Friday we had our Mission Day - totally organised by our Gr 5/6 students! It was great to see the students lead their different activities and encourage all of the P-4 students to have a go and try their best. Huge thanks to all of our families for supporting this fundraiser!



15.01.2022 Huge shout out to Harry C in Gr 5/6 (and his mum!) for taking the time to send us a photo of something positive about remote learning. Harry has enjoyed getting out on his bike and going for a ride with his mates. What a great way to spend lockdown time!

14.01.2022 Our Prep-2 students had a lovely time exploring the local area on Friday. We had perfect weather and the children enjoyed investigating the water life, creating nature mandalas and exploring nature.

14.01.2022 On Thursday the Preps took part in a tennis program in PE and received a free racquet. This is one of the great initiatives from Tennis Australia in partnering with schools to deliver quality Physical Education lessons. Thanks for organising this Mrs B!

12.01.2022 This week our Grade 3/4's visited the Marine and Freshwater Discovery Centre. First they learnt about various types of sea animals and their unique characteristics, including how they protect themselves from predators. Then the students investigated the ocean items in the room and focused on using descriptive language to describe how they looked and felt. These objects included shells, bones, sponges, teeth and taxidermy.

11.01.2022 Today our Prep students participated in Fairy Bread Day 2020 - a perfect opportunity to make and thoroughly enjoy fairy bread! They are now working on writing their own books about making fairy bread and are looking forward to sharing their learning with their families.

09.01.2022 A new delivery of sand and a new collection of sand toys have created lots of excitement! Our P-3 students have been busy digging, creating and building at recess and lunch. Rumour has it that they are busy building a spa, complete with seats and drink holders!
