25.01.2022 Dear members & friends....Friday night happy hour has been cancelled until further notice. I love that the Aussie humour has emerged, as seriously as we take this whole process we can still laugh. We can still stay in contact with each other and our families via FaceTime, Messenger etc. You can still have a game of bowls but no congregating in the club. Stay safe everyone and reach out if you need help. Now we can all take time to smell the roses...

25.01.2022 Happy Hour at the Dolphin Bar.... Steve has decided to open on Friday 20th March from 5pm - 7pm. MEMBERS ONLY..!!!! Please be aware of the following recommendations: Social distancing - sit or stand 1.5 metres from each other Dont shake hands ... If you have a cough or sneeze, do it into your elbow or a tissue & discard immediately Wash your hands thoroughly. We are trying to find hand sanitizer in the shops () If anyone has some to spare to put on the bar please bring it with you. 22.01.2022 The following information has just been received from Clubs SA.... Players are permitted to play outdoor social bowls in groups of 10 or less, providing all social distancing, hygiene protocols are met. Social bowls can be played in groups of ten up to a maximum of 50 people. I understand that the governing authority will be releasing something shortly as to how best approach this. Also please remember that the Authorities have approved this activity as a social and recreational pastime.IE if the Authorities see otherwise, ie competitions, tournaments, or even formal training, they have advised that they will close the activity down.

22.01.2022 On Sunday 15th March at 4pm we say goodbye to our dear friends Trevor & Gail Urlwin. All members and friends welcome. BYO drinks as the bar will not be open & we will barbecuing so bring some meat, a salad and sweets enough to cater for yourself. Trevor has held the position of president for five years and in this time has achieved so much for which our club will always be eternally grateful. Gails involvement in the community has also been commendable and both will be sadly missed, not only for their involvement in the town but as dear friends. Lets give them a farewell to remember....

20.01.2022 Grand opening of the Corporate Box........Our club is not adverse to a little fun.. we girls have been asking for a shelf to be put up on the very worse for wear window ledge overlooking the green, somewhere to put our drinks. On Saturday, we like to sit & watch the matches on the bar stools. Well thanks to Jake Kennedy & Reg Ricketts it finally happened and we had a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the occasion......

14.01.2022 URGENT NOTICE..... The planned Trivia Night for Tuesday 24th November has been cancelled until further notice due to COVID restrictions. Friday night meals will also be cancelled but the bar will remain open. Certain restrictions will apply as previously, signing in and sitting whilst consuming alcohol.

14.01.2022 This is an excerpt from the Clubs SA email....H Any number of groups of 10 can train at the same ground providing social distancing and hygiene obligations are applied and the training must exclude any contact drills. This includes football, netball or hockey for example. Bowling Clubs or similar can permit groups of 10 onto their greens, with the number of groups dependent of the number of separate playing areas, eg 3 separate greens = 3 groups of 10 people.... SAPol have advised multiple groups of 10 can be present. Again social distancing and hygiene obligations apply and importantly this must be under a social pretext. Formal competitions are prohibited
