22.01.2022 Step One of business revamp: My vehicle is proudly displaying StatePlus Conveyancing business name and logo. Already proving a success at increasing visibility in the local community.

20.01.2022 Step Two: Business Revamp (or just keeping up to date, really) Who would have thought 43 years ago when I started my career in conveyancing (as a part-time after school junior using telex machines and that new "fangle-dangled fax machine" just like the picture) that I would be talking about using "facial biometric verification technology" and "liveness detection" as part of my daily work!!! I don't think those words had even been invented then. In light of the current rest...rictions on face-to-face meetings, this technology provides a virtual secure option that removes the need for me to see clients in person. So a useful option, no doubt because having a client’s identity verified is a mandatory part of the conveyancing process. I wonder what next week will bring in my "Business Revamp Plan".

10.01.2022 "Home Builder Announcement" to encourage investment in your existing property. What a busy day already. Lots of calls from clients this morning about the government's announcement for those building or substantially renovating their homes and who may be eligible to receive a $25,000 grant for 'certain works' on their homes - all designed to boost demand in the construction industry. It seems the grants relate to owner-occupiers undertaking substantial renovations and/ or... the building of new homes and who spend at least $150,000. Some things to note: Caps on new builds at $750,000 renovations from $150,000 to $750,000.00 the value of the house being 'altered' must not exceed $1.5 million and not include investment properties. Available for 6 months, builders must be registered prior to the announcement. The grants are means tested to exclude couples making in excess of $200,000 and individuals $125,000 per year. Lots more to find out as this is general info only and, of course, your individual situation needs to be considered.
