19.01.2022 Back in 2016 I captured this fierce interaction between these two little cowgirls in Wyoming. Check out the fire in their bellies

19.01.2022 Yesterday I was having a lesson with a client, and we were sharing one of my camera. We genuinely cant figure out which one of us took this shoot - but either way, what a bloody ripper! And to think this fella wasn't over the moon about us turning up to his schooling session, unannounced, and with cameras! This is the first official Steph Coombes x Jess Di Pasquale collaboration

18.01.2022 Who is Stephanie Coombes Creative? My name is Steph Coombes, and I’m currently based in the Northern Territory. However, I started shooting when I was living in the USA in 2015, 16 & 17. In June 2020 I finished up my day job in research and extension in the northern beef industry, working with pastoralists in the Pilbara and Kimberley regions. ...Continue reading

17.01.2022 I am LOVING this episode from the Connect, Change and Challenge podcast! Chelsea shared, "I think that seeing the value of other people is a skill. I see it all the time in the photography world where people value the skill that they have. If they are a very technical photographer, they think that is the only part of photography that matters. If you’re a very artistic photographer, that’s the only thing that matters, the art. The same thing happens on any team in business." A...re you the person that sees things only your way, or are you open to other forms of thinking? Tune in wherever you listen to podcasts or on YouTube to gather all the insights from Chelsea's entrepreneurial-community mindset. Here's the website link, no app required https://stacymayomartinez.com/episodes/truetoyourself Plus, make sure you listen to the end to get a FREE download to help you navigate your personal brand.

13.01.2022 My schedule is not about what I want to get done, but about who I want to become Bill Hybels. ___________________________________________________________________ My chest feels tight - like it might explode from the intense gratitude I'm feeling.... I write this from the perspective that time is a social construct, but it can be a useful tool to reflect upon certain periods of time. The calendar year of 2020 saw massive changes in my life. I started off in beautiful Broome, working full time in a job that was eroding my physical and mental health. But, I thought I could stick it out until the end of my contract in June, as I had booked flights to the USA and was going to go away for at least a year to ride horses, rope cattle and shoot rodeo. Then COVID-19. When offered permanency in June, the prospect of a secure job with a generous salary and subsidised rent was tempting. I instead decided to pack it all in (literally, in my car) and head off on a trip across the north, to focus on my health, and spend quality time with the people I love who are of course spread across some of the most remote parts of Australia. I’ve spent the past 6 months making life up a few weeks at a time. I’m so incredibly privileged to be able to do so (advantages of being terminally single and not a homeowner). Of course I miss the beautiful pastoralists who I was so lucky to work with and learn from in my old job but as they’ve come to learn, while I might not be employed in that job anymore, I’m still trying to do it and they cant get rid of me. I’ll always be a cattle nerd! This year I’ve been able to focus on my creativity from developing my photography, to sewing shirts and skirts, launching a second podcast series, and taking the leap into mentoring photographers. I’ve been so incredibly fortunate to spend quality time with friends who I usually only get to see, well, hardly ever. It’s the small moments we share cooking dinner, hanging out the washing, feeding the horses etc. that matter most. And holy hatbox I have had the most incredible clients. I still haven’t quite figured out how to photograph a client without either a) trying to adopt them as my new friends and/or b) wanting to kidnap their gorgeous children! It’s been a challenging year - but my physical health is slowly but surely starting to recover. I will never, ever take my health for granted again. I am so excited for the next 12 months to keep traveling, visiting old friends and meeting new ones. This quote sums up my intentions pretty darn well: My schedule is not about what I want to get done, but about who I want to become Bill Hybels.
