23.01.2022 From the streets to the stage. This is absolutely amazing!

22.01.2022 A massive thanks to Bourke Street Bakery for their weekly donations of fresh sourdough and snacks. You can see some of our amazing volunteers here, working in a COVID- safe way, see you 5pm on Sunday.

22.01.2022 Look at what Red Robin Kindergarten managed to do during Socktober! Baskets and baskets of socks !!! Ready to fill the sock bucket

21.01.2022 Box Divvy East Ryde - Melba -whose members agreed to sponsor us - donate wonderful boxes of fresh produce each week, ensuring that our rough sleepers get fresh fruit and allowing our wonderful volunteers to have veggies to put into meals. Thank you

21.01.2022 How's your SOCKTOBER going? With over 100 pairs of socks already donated we are looking good to hit our target of 500 This is what was going on with the sock bucket 5 mins after we put those 100 pairs in

20.01.2022 Here you can see our volunteers and our range of COVID-safe-packaged food - if you're interested in joining us, get in touch

19.01.2022 A few weeks back the wonderful team from Cisco Australia and New Zealand legal dropped by. They had a lasagne bake off and created some delicious meals! The team are also raising and donating money so that our volunteers can buy ingredients for meals. If you want to bring food to Wooloomooloo on Sunday, remember that it needs to be packed in individual take away containers .... and if you're stuck for ideas, lasagne is always popular and we can never make enough salads!!!!

18.01.2022 A pleasant afternoon on Sunday at Street Buffet with some of our regular volunteers keeping thing moving along. We managed to maintain social distancing with Sheldon at the helm, and with Petros, Jackie, Tony, Bridie, Danny, Nesha and Sunny talking up the bread we had exactly the right amount of food for our guests! Plus hundreds of pairs of socks ... If you're thinking of donating or volunteering get in touch via Facebook - something as simple as a lasagne always goes down well!

17.01.2022 Piles of amazing fresh food and bread ! Thanks to everyone who donated this week - just delicious !

17.01.2022 How did your SOCKTOBER go? We've already received 200 pairs of socks - nearly half way to our goal of 500 pairs, and in this wet weather, boy do we need them. Thanks to everyone who has collected this month - drop them in soon!

16.01.2022 A huge thank you to our friends at Daceyville Public School who cooked and packaged up a huge amount of fried rice and pasta napolitana! Yum! thanks so much to all of the students, and particularly those up and coming chefs who made delicious food for our homeless friends.

16.01.2022 Our volunteers have been blessed with lots of delicious donations this weekend - take a guess what's on the menu for tomorrow's buffet?

15.01.2022 We have had an amazing couple of weeks with donations and volunteering at Street Buffet teams of people cooking up the food that keeps coming, as well as useful... things like wipes and moisturiser. Our regular volunteers have been buoyed by the support and we're looking forward to the warmer weather. (Did someone say ice blocks!?!?) We've noticed that our rough sleepers are really short on socks ..... so we are once again running SOCKTOBER!!! Donate a pair or two of new socks knowing that they are going directly to Sydney's rough sleepers and homeless. We are aiming to get 500 pairs together! Send us some socks!

13.01.2022 Thank you everyone who chose our token at Grill’d on Crown street. We placed 2nd in the draw and now get to help even more people in need

13.01.2022 Thankyou Hong Kong Masks Australia for your wonderful donation of masks, keeping our volunteers and rough sleepers safe

11.01.2022 It's "food prep Friday"! What meals are you planning for your friends, family and loved ones this weekend? Fridays are when many of our fresh food donations come in, and our team of volunteers work out what amazing dishes they will make for Sunday's service. We often salivate at the descriptions of their home cooked, family favourites!

11.01.2022 We have some wonderful corporate partners - including Eli Lilly and Company - who, once again this year as a part of their Corporate Giving Day - supported Street Buffet. We received a massive amount of donations of non perishable items - some of which will be cooked by our volunteers, some will go into snack packs, and some have already gone to help stock the pantries of families in need. THANK YOU for your generosity.

09.01.2022 Serving our friends on Sunday night takes a lot of effort throughout the week Thanks to/ The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Australia we have some amazing volunteers each week - here shown pulling together 'cutlery packs' This week we've also had some generous donations from wonderful people like Joanne - who won a meat tray raffle and gave us the sausages - and Anne, clearing out a freezer and providing 4 amazing roasts for our volunteers to turn into meals, and... Bernadette who is bringing us surplus baked goods - this week including meat pies (all about to hit the oven) We will make sure that your donations are enjoyed this evening !

06.01.2022 It's coming to the warmer months, but still - it's lovely to snuggle up on a Saturday. During winter we recieved a gorgeously generous donation from Tara Anglican School for Girls. A group of students hand knitted these amazing blankets - and then had a donation drive to collect even more blankets, beanies, scarves, undies and socks!. Next to our amazing food buffet, we often have a small collection of clothing and toiletry essentials for those sleeping rough. ... These blankets have really helped our friends during this cold snap - and we've got more to hand out to keep everyone toasty warm at night. (and even enough for next year!) The one thing we're running short on at the moment is socks! so if you went and bought some socks that are the wrong size or colour or shape, and they'd fit the blokes we work with - we can find some feet to fill them!

06.01.2022 During a break in the driving rain we managed to take a quick video Thanks to all of the amazing volunteers who came in the damp It was a fast service - in and out between downpours !

06.01.2022 This is the most incredible girl - Olivia. It was her birthday recently, and rather than presents, she asked people to make a donation that she passed on to Street Buffet. Olivia's friends and family gave $170 to us on Sunday - and her mum helped us to serve dinner. That money will be used by our volunteers to purchase the extra things we need ontop of donanations to create delicious, healthy meals that are made with love. ... Olivia is a champion! Please show her some love. See more

05.01.2022 We had a great turn out of volunteers and food - (what to make? Hot food? Cold food?) - so it was a combination of iceblocks and steaming hot chicken and pasta. Some new volunteers and some old faces returning Welcome to Jackie, Lizzie, Andy, Vicki, Alexi and Nik! - and always a big thank you to the wonderful donors and home-cooking volunteers like Rashi (amazing Indian sweet and savoury treats!)

02.01.2022 Have you got a 'hot box'???!??? Thicker than regular styrofoam boxes these have been used every week for nearly two years but are coming to the end of their lives ... before we go out and purchase more we figured it best to ask our friends if they've got some ready to be re-homed?

02.01.2022 100 of 500 pairs of socks already donated - and snaffled up straight away - donate to SOCKTOBER!
