November 6 - Club Night 5 Nominations close tonight night (WEDNESDAY) at 11:59pm in Swim Central. Don’t forget to nominate in the 500m Freestyle event if you wish to be in a King of the Pool (KOTP) team and have completed your 25m time trial before now. November 8 Brisbane Relay Championships nominated swimmers only, as per previous correspondence. November 13 Club Night 6 Nominations close Wednesday Nov 11, Senior swimmers competing in the Medal Shots Prep meet are not expected to attend. November 13-15 - Medal Shots LC Prep Meet nominations close at 11:59pm TONIGHT in Swim Central (12 Years & Over by the date of the State Championships only). November 21 Yeronga LC Prep Meet Swimmers 8-11 Years, plus any senior swimmers that have not yet qualified for the State Championships. Nominations close Tuesday November 10 at 11:59pm. December 12-18 Queensland State Championships this is the pinnacle event for our swimmers on the Queensland calendar, open to all swimmers who qualify from 12 Years to Open age groups. Swimmers are encouraged to compete in these upcoming meets and try to qualify to represent Sunnybank Swimming Club. This is ultimately what our older swimmers are working towards each year and put in many months of training to compete at this event. Please speak to a committee member or Kevin at training or club night if you have any questions about participation in these meets.

21.01.2022 It was fantastic to see the Sunnybank Team spirit amongst all our teams competing in the Brisbane relay championships. Congratulations to all that competed. This was a huge success with some teams qualifying for the Age National relays in April 2021 on the Gold Coast. Have a great week see you at the pool.

20.01.2022 Training is on again as of TUESDAY 12th Hello Members, Squad Training will recommence tomorrow morning. Swimmers are parents please make sure you check into the facility correctly.... From Thursday 24 December 2020 the Queensland Government required all business, including clubs and associations, to implement electronic registrations of participants attending a facility or event. Paper registration of attendees will no longer be sufficient to meet contact tracing requirements. GuestHQ check-in Extra GuestHQ check-in have been placed around the facility. See you at the pool.

11.01.2022 Sunnybank Swimming Club will be hosting a SC Transition meet on Sunday November 29 for swimmers from 6-12 years of age. This is a fantastic opportunity for our swimmers to ease into competitive swimming in the safety of their home pool! Nominations are now open in Swim Central and will close on November 22; however, due to COVID we are restricted in the number of swimmers that can enter and we don't want you to miss out, so make sure you nominate early.

11.01.2022 Presenting the Sunnybank 2020 State Team. Qualifying for this event is a great achievement and one that should be celebrated. Last Friday the team were presented with their shirts which were sponsored by our club referee Andrew Thomson. Best of luck to our swimmers and know we will all be cheering you on. 11.01.2022 Hi All, Just a friendly reminder that memberships from the 2019/2020 Season or COVID Temporary Memberships have now expired in Swim Central. You will need to renew the membership for your swimmer if they wish to participate in Club nights or swim meets as a member of Sunnybank Swim Club. Nominations for the first Club night of the season open this Saturday at 10am and will close on Wednesday 7th October 2020.... The first Club night will be held on Friday 9th October 2020. 07.01.2022 Hi everyone, The first Long Course (50m) preparation meet that we have been allocated to is on Saturday October 24 at Chandler. Nominations are now available in Swim Central https://swimcentral.swimming.org.au , with more specific meet information still yet to be received, although the start time is listed as 9am currently. Preparation meets are a great way for our younger swimmers especially to gain racing experience and we hope that many of you are able to participate, alth...ough participation will be limited by age (as yet unclear). Nominations close on Tuesday October 13 at 11:59pm. Please note that swimmers outside the Brisbane region will be able to nominate for this meet from 9am Thursday October 8 if numbers allow for additional competitors, so ensure you get your nominations in early. Date claimer: Additional meets will be allocated for the weekend of November 21/22 with information provided as it becomes available.

03.01.2022 Welcome back swimmers to the first club night for the 20/21 season.Thank you to everyone that came and helped. Congratulations to Nick and Sam Bonomo who are this years club captains. Also a big welcome to the new club members.

01.01.2022 A big congratulations to the following swimmers, Anna Di Sandro, Nick Bonomo, Ryan Sui and Josh Byrne who made the qualifying times for this years Australian age nationals in Perth. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 this event was cancelled. Thanks to the support of Bendigo Bank, last week we presented these swimmers with a kit that they would have received prior to going. Well done, hopefully you will qualify again for the 20/21 season, as this event will be on the Gold Coast.
